I understand. As far as I understand Incognito's usage is so you can be connected to a Wi-Fi network but not have access to Nintendo's servers. However, even after installing Incognito, I still can access Nintendo servers and that is what puzzles me.

I believe you need to restart the unit for it to take effect, but I also believe you already got flagged for a ban probably.

Yeah, would have been useful to know that beforehand. Not like I was trying to download stuff I don't own or something. Gonna boot back to OFW and keep an eye if I'll eventually get banned. Does Nintendo issue bans weekly or something?

There is no definitive answer on that, just that you 100% got flagged for a ban if you accessed eshop on CFW.

Proof me wrong then.
I’ve been connected to Nintendo servers 24/7 for over a year while using CFW, I play online, buy titles off the eshop occasionally, etc. I also know of others who are doing the same, and to my knowledge nobody has been banned just for going online with Atmosphere since proper protections were implemented.

Part of the reason they are not banning you yet because of they are making money off you, obviously if you didn't buy any stuffs they probably ban you already, Nintendo does let people get away with using CFW if they buy a lot of content, that it was like on the 3DS. My original post mention about being flagged for a ban, so you probably got flagged for a ban, but they haven't banned you because you purchase stuff.

Then again Nintendo recently implemented a temporary ban, perhaps they got bored of banning people. Atmosphere has no proper protection implementation itself, as it doesn't use any DNS blocker, or edit out your prod.info, 90DNS and Incognito aren't part of the atmosphere.

Some of those other people I know haven’t bought many games, if any at all

AMS does have protections. The Fatal and Creport reimplementations redirect fatal and crash reports to the SD card, AMS also force disables some teletry stuff.

i think you need to boot atmosphere with its fusee-primary.bin payload then run incognito to install. after that you can go back to whatever payload you use with Kosmos

Tried that, not sure how to boot into emuMMC afterward. Boots straight into atmosphere & sysNand

Any tips?

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware
