What's a redbox Switch?
Regardless, unpatched Switch systems are recommended. You should check the serial for an unpatched Switch before making any purchases.
- If you get a patched system on 4.1.0, it's fully hackable as long as you don't update and haven't connected it to the internet before.
- Patched systems on 5.0.0-7.0.1 might be hackable someday in the distant future as long as they're never connected to the internet and never updated.
- Patcheds systems on 8.0.0 and higher will probably never be hackable.
If you care about hacks, they're not recommended. The revised version of switches, they came about a week ago. Apparently they have a new Tegra processor...
They don't have a better battery nor do they have a better screen. Simply a chipset revision which is where the extra battery life comes from. The current switch models will not get a better screen, if that was going to happen it would have happened with the current revision. The better screen would also increase the price of the switch. Nintendo will launch a "pro" model that includes the newer screens.By "redbox", he probably means the new Mariko units (the ones with a better battery and screen), they come in a mostly red box, thus the name.

Nintendo uses multiple manufacturers for displays, that's why some displays look different from others.I may have screwed up here (on the baterry especially lol, my bad), but I definitely recall seeing improvements in the screens when it comes to brightness and color accuracy
