Homebrew Removing hacks

I'm currently on 11.10 with CFW , luma , anemone , fbi ,homebrew , and other stuff like godmode. I created a Nand backup and put it on my pc.
I have an old sd card where all of the original unhacked ds files are, put it in my 3ds but it wouldn't turn on. only the sd card with the hacks on would turn on?

I want to remove everything hacked on my 3ds so I can freely play online without the worry of being banned ( mainly want to play animal crossing: new leaf )
If anyone could assist me in this that would be much appreciated.

There is no need to remove the cfw, as you wont be banned for having it. So you can freely play your games online, even pirated ones. You should follow this guide to update your cfw and copy Luma to the sysNand, so it will boot without the sd card.

If the firmware is on 11.10 he won't need to update anything. FreeShop also hasn't worked since this day last year.

But yep no problems with playing online

The real “hack” – boot9strap* – it is installed on the NAND. When turning on a 3DS with B9S it does the following:

1. Try to load SD:/boot.firm
2. If this fails: Try to load CTRNAND:/boot.firm
3. If this also fails: Turn power off.

This is why you should have copied boot.firm to the NAND when installing the custom firmware stuff.

Removing CFW will not magically undo that you ever modified the system. This means: If Nintendo is able to track down devices with B9S/Luma for banning them from online play, your console has already been flagged.
Because there have been no reports about bans on the 3DS platform for quite a while, it is unlikely to happen anyway. Either they can’t reliably detect CFW and/or they simply do not care anymore. Cheating online however can lead to a (well-deserved) ban.

If you are dead set against keeping CFW: Please read my warnings before doing so and do not skip the safety test.

* Assuming you did not install A9LH before B9S existed (without ever upgrading to B9S).
Removing A9LH is an even worse idea → If you insist on removing CFW and you have the older A9LH, upgrade to B9S first, then do the safety test before actually uninstalling.

This means you skipped a step in the Finalizing Setup page about moving Luma to CTRNAND. The SD card with hacks has Luma's boot.firm on it while the other one doesn't, and you never put a copy of Luma on CTRNAND, so Boot9strap doesn't see anything to load and just turns the console off.

There's already no worry of being banned as long as you don't cheat online.
