Which house did you side with in Fire Emblem: Three Houses?

fe3.png

After years of anticipation, the latest entry in the Fire Emblem series has just launched. Similarly to Fire Emblem: Fates, in the newly released Fire Emblem: Three Houses, players are given an option between picking major factions, which lead to different playable characters, and most notably, a choice between which leader you want to support. Considering the game has just launched today, we want you guys to pitch in and share which house you sided with!

Did you pick the Blue Lions, led by Dimitri, the lance-wielding stoic noble? How about Edelgard, the ambitious leader of the Black Eagles? Or Claude, the witty archer and leader of the Golden Deer?

Regardless of your choice, hopefully you're enjoying Fire Emblem: Three Houses and all the game has to offer. Make sure to keep an eye out for GBAtemp's official review of the game, which should be out in the coming weeks. And please be courteous to your fellow 'tempers and make sure to tag spoilers, if you managed to get a hold of the game and already play through it prior to the official release.

There's Golden Deer, and 2 wrong answers.

It's amazing how many people willingly pick the extremely obvious evil empire to follow Edelgard von breastmilk whom is described as cold and distant, wields an axe and is heir to an empire. I mean really. Called it from the minute I saw her that she'll be crushing baby skulls at some point in the game. Helps when her right-hand man is the definition of a villain character.

Blondy could go either way but given he's heir to a holy kingdom I can see some baby crushing in his future too.

Blue Lions. It has the least dudes that look like little girls. I swear i thought a few of the guys in the game were girls until it told me they were guys.

Wait, is this game that popular? I've never played Fire Emblem. Should I start with Three Houses? How is it? (I'll read the GBATemp review when it comes out).
I would start out as early as you'd be comfortable with (graphics wise and especially if you like tactics games). One thing is that there is permadeath, but starting in Awakening for the 3DS you can opt out of that (probably patch it out in some way if you want or use cheats). Also Lunatic Mode is kinda ridiculous for a first play through even for the skilled :D. My favorites are the newer ones though particularly Awakening and Fates.

Idk. I doubt it matters. Reviewers have said you can get nearly all characters regardless of house choosing. Each house only has 1 exclusive character. He or she is rewarded when completing the finale chapter.

Yeah, I only played the second one on GBA (the actual second one that features Roy's father as the protagonist alongside Hector and Lyndis), and I remember you could recruit enemy members if you had a GameFAQs guide on who can convince *insert x non-major story boss here*to join your side with y character that's hopefully still alive in your party.

I will say, as someone used to playing Advance Wars compared to these games, the permadeath BS is what turns me away from Fire Emblem. Yes, I know you can turn it off in every game Awakening and after, but imagine getting, say, your entire party creamed in the battle before the final boss/level and then, with today's auto-saving, you being screwed? It'd be a potentially 100+ hour RPG playthrough down the toilet with the older games!

Everyone wants the red chick, but do they know she's gay? I went with the Golden Deers because I love the cheekyness of Claude.

Secret, true mission: I want to make love with Alois as fast as possible. All night.
