would this work ?Yes, it is faster with usb 3. I am getting about 20+ with 3.0.
You can get around 35mbps with goldleaf 0.3, as goldleaf 0.5 has slower speed.
how do I downgrade to goldleaf 0.3
Is that with usb2 or usb3
get it from goldleaf github, as far as I know you won't be able to archive usb 3 speed, as I have seen it only hit around 30 ish mb/s roughly 35/36 mbps etc.
okay thanks
will I be missing anything by downgrading ?
I have not tested it, but I believe that your micro SD speed will influence the transfer speed as well, there's no way you can install at 35 Mbps if you have a class 10 micro SD card with 10-15 Mbps writing speeds.

what class do I need ?
do you mean that was too high or too low ?
You are correct sir! you need to also have a fast micro sd card capable at writing at a high speed - also what spec does the switch have for writing to those cards? - bus speeds are also important in that the data received from the usb-c port needs to then flow via the switch firmware and then to data on the micro sd card and probably gets converted along the way at some point - all these things matter as well.

I assume you all are actually using the B unit (capitals, meaning bytes), not b (bits). With current GoldLeaf I get up to 15MB/s so 120mbps.
