Hmm Initialize system would be a good try I guess, just chose not to delete save data.
Tried open the Factory Reset menu but it didn’t pop up. I give up, my Switch is gone. Maybe I have better luck on the next Nintendo console generation.

Maybe you ran out of battery. was it fully charged when you updated using choi?

Also Back up! Back up! Back up! It can really save you a lot of bricks and headaches in the future.

I deleted my Atmosphere stuff from the SD and

No. I paid attention to uninstall the Theme before I Install 8.1.0.
I deleted just in this moment all my Atmosphere stuff (With it too the Theme in the Atmosphere folder) and replaced it with fresh new Atmosphere 0.9.1 Files and now the Switch Logo is gone. Everything is the same but instead of the Switch Logo now there’s just Black.

I also see only black instead of the Nintendo logo. I try to let the battery drain now too.

Was it possible to connect the Joy Cons to your switch via Bluetooth during that blackscreen? I tested it and it is possible for me.

Btw I have a backup. Should I try to restore it?

Ok. Letting the battery drain didn´t work. I still only see a black screeen. But now the black screen is flashing on and off when I hold down the power button to force the switch to turn off

I'm having the same issue. I was upgrading from 8.1 to 9.1 and forgot to uninstall them but the folder that was posted earlier in this thread doesn't exist on my ad. I tried deleting the whole themes folder on the root, but still didn't work. Any suggestions?

Make sure the SD card is formatted as FAT32.

it is fat32
I recommend the following steps:
  1. Make a NAND backup with Hekate if you haven't already. Store it somewhere safe.
  2. Make sure the SD is FAT32.
  3. Remove all CFW files/folders from your SD card (that would be folders like /sept/ and /atmosphere/)
  4. Download the latest Atmosphere from github
  5. Download the latest fusee-primary (next to Atmosphere)
  6. Download these signature patches
  7. Put Atmosphere and the signature patches onto your SD card
  8. Put the SD into your Switch
  9. Launch Atmosphere using fusee-primary
