As far as I know, no.
if i boot into emunand, then start choidjour from there, update the firmware(of emunand) and dont activate auto rcm, then when i boot my switch normally i will be in the ofw. there will be no problem with burning fuses or something, since i updated inside emunand?

Hi Noob here. If I restore my NAND backup, do I need to restore factory settings also?
No.

Yes. As long as you update EmuNAND only, you will be fine. You can disable AutoRCM during the update process.

ok thx. i created emunand from my 4.0.1 virgin ofw, but i think i screwed myself...i made the emunand from 4.0.1 which still does not have exfat support but the emunand is on my exfat sd card...it wont boot, only have a black screen..

edit: got it to work, transferred files to other sd card, updated to 7, changed back again, works.

one question now. it asks me to update the controllers now me being on emunand 7. should i do it? will it be problematic with my ofw being on 4 still?

been waiting for atmos emuMMC nand to add cfw for my Switch (1st batch) which is unpatched, will still wait for the next update for them to iron out the kinks but wanted to know

I still have it on 6.2 because I remember Scires had said something might be possible up to that but I can't remember if that was for patched systems to worry about or (does firmware matter on unpatched or do fuses still play a role when or if downgrading may be possible or needed?)

has anyone played online with OFW with the atmos dual configure setup and gotten banned yet?

also once you start the CFW process do all your game saves get wiped? (Zelda :O) or are they safe on the stock OFW but on the CFW they don't appear? I understand you can back them up but some game saves I want them official so I can send it to hopefully to the new Switch when that comes out

If you don’t mod your controllers, you can update without issues. Your controllers will still work on 4.x.x.

i got a 6.2 OFW switch (just restored NAND). Can i update via the internet to get 8.0.1 or will it give me 8.1 (wich don't support CFW at the moment)??

Update via ChoidujourNX, auto autoRCM enable to preserve your fuse, update to 8.0.1.
I cant access cfw to run ChoidujourNx and downgrade since i updated like a moron i only get blackscreens on everything except OFW. Will restoring my clean NAND help ?

If your fuse doesn't match with the firmware it indicate it suppose to come with you gonna run into problems, 6.2 have access to CFW, unless you got one that doesn't boot then you ran into problems.

If your fuse count is 9, you can restore that NAND backup as long it was done correctly, if you update via nintendo it will burn your fuse count up to 10. Check your fuse count first.

I got yesterday a new console with clean NAND 4.1.0 with serial unpatched.

but now this update came out 8.1.0,
what best to do?

Backup NAND 4.1.0 and make a emuNAND then update to 8.0.1 using ChoidujourNX and I wait CFW updates
or just wait?

other question: can install exFAT driver before update emuNAND to 8.0.1 in with ChoidujourNX?

sry my bad English.
this update take me surprise, what a badluck

If you want to stay on 4.1.0, buy SX OS and do an emunand partition, or wait for Atmosphere's emunand to be fully function, as it is experimental, you could also use the Atmosphere just to play on sysnand if you don't care about playing online. Stick with FAT32 and learn to do usb install.

Thank you,

I think i will use sxos with emuNAND with OFW in oldversion(4.1.0) for a while until the CFW stable then i update sysNAND online and cfw too, i dont care about playing online

fuse count is 10 according to briccmii does that mean that i cant downgrade ?
