It won't hurt to stay on that firmware. Memory Pit can support it now.I just got a mint DSi on 1.4.3A.
Is there any reason to stay on 1.4.3A if I plan on running Hiya?
Is it even possible to update to the latest these days? I thought the servers were gone.
You sure? Had to update mine to get it workingIt won't hurt to stay on that firmware. Memory Pit can support it now.

The only reasons I can think of is accessing the (defunct) shop for:
There are no real downsides in updating either as CFW will unblock flashcarts.
- Unlocking data management in System Settings which will not show up if a DSi never accessed the shop
- Re-downloading DSiWare that was either paid or downloaded for free while possible (e.g. Flipnote Studio)
Almost every DSi xl and all the console with 1.4 few were released with flipnote, anyways, with cfw data management isn't even that needed, as you can just delete the dsiware from your SD and it'll be deleted from the emunnd as wellThanks guys, so I guess it doesn't really matter either way.
I was worried I might have missing out on some "stability" if I didn't update to 1.4.5
Is there a way to unlock Data Management via the CFW? I checked this DSi and it's not there. I can see it on my DSi XL, that I did use on the shop years ago.
I already have Flipnote Studio on this DSi, not that it really matters now. Did some come preinstalled with it?
