FTP requires internet, hence why I warn against it. Just physically move the micro SD card to a phone/SD card reader and you should be fine.

also, note that you're not aiming for full custom firmware, which requires specific firmware versions. Just RCMing into homebrew uses a hardware exploit regardless of firmware version.

i see, is this a good start? it says i need to ground the right pin and doing it wrong can fry the system, is there a safer way to RCM it? and if possible could you give recommended guides

Seems like you like to be spoon fed. Switch modding is a complex matter and I doubt anyone of us will like to be liable for providing info that you may read or follow wrong that may compromise yr investment.

Perhaps you should take it along on your own from here?

Share my work in progress Equipment list with the Neset sets and all the jewelled weapons plus some endgame XX blademaster sets (Boltreaver, Rustrazor, Bloodbath, and Elderfrost) and a selected collection of creator KO 3 slot charms. I was having a hard time finding the endgame sets in the dropdown menu, I typed their names in English but they don't show up like other ones. I ended up using other save editor (in a different language) to get them, I hope this list will save you some time and get to the fun right away. All the equipment are placed in 9-20 slots, I suggest you get the expansion book first, otherwise, you won't see the equipments at the last few pages.

If it's in 3ds then they are using cheat codes by gateway or ntr. You can apply any kind of dmg multiplier with those.

Or did you see actual weapon buff stats on player equipment numbers?

This reminds me of the hacks on PSP Monster Hunter back in the days that allow users to apply mods in real-time and show dmgs and stuff. I don't think it is possible with the passive save editor.

However, if you put the Neset set on and pick up the jewelled greatsword, you can kill low-rank and even some high-rank monsters in just a couple of power attacks.

the devaint armors new to GenU/XX dont use the official english names in the editor. They use the fan translations from when it was jsut XX in japanese (IE: Boltreaver is called Azurebolt, Bloodbath is called Bloodlust, etc.)

on topic question, is there a list of difference between fan and actual translations cause i only know the actual ones and half guessing is kind of annoying (had the same issue in athena)

Would anyone be able to assist me with this? I'm no noob when it comes to save editing but I can't seem to get the file format right when exporting my data from my switch. Hardly. I simply am curious as to where I am going wrong when extracting the save data from the game. If you are unwilling to assist, dont help. Clearly, you are unable to provide assistance so dont post. There is several instructional guides on how to convert from 3ds, and if thatd the only way I can do that... what i dont see is instructions for is modding directly from switch. I have also searched extensively for that information, and cannot locate it. I'm not asking for you to spoon feed me, I'm asking you to tell me where the spoon is so I can feed myself. But it doesnt look like you even look like you know where the food is, none the less the spoon.

I will believe everyone will agree with me. Google and the internet is your spoon. Can't say about the food after you feed yourself. Could be a positive outcome or a banned switch, esp when u are trying to go online with this.

Ironically, your, "do it yourself" post provided me with the right tools I needed to google the RIGHT things to get it figure it out. It's a shame people like you exist who are too wrapped up in their superiority complex that they can't even drop a link when someone ask. But hey, if anyone needs help, I'd be more than happy to provide a link to a step by step guide on how to do exactly this.

Those who need further assistance, let me know and I'd be happy to post a link helping where I can, because on the contrary, modding a switch isn't hard; sometimes people just need the right thing to look up to get started.

With this I was able to edit my in game name (Switch version), and it works, but when I load my game the original name is still there. Is there a way to change that? After editing, I deleted the system_backup file and overwrote with the edited system file and renamed it to system_backup so there shouldn't be anything left of the original file.

I converted my 3ds XX file to MHGU. But the japanese dlc quests always let the game (and switch crash) so I started over on switch. Edited some of my weapons and armor into switch save. If you want send me your 3ds XX save and an "empty" MHGU Save, I can convert it.

I wouldn't trust him, he charges an absurd amount for a couple of charms and he also requires your username and password. From his side he could do whatever he wants with your account and you'll be left biting the dust.

I tested him with a spare account first. He is Legit. Just change yr password before and after his work.
