Hello,

1. as it seems that the opensource emunand is near to be finished I'd like to ask if it's enough to do a "factory reset" by switchs default option menu or maybe by the recovery menu.

2. if I'm doing it with the switch itself the autorcm shouldn't change? no matter how.

3. Any other things i should take care of?

4. Yep still got a nand backup but if its easier/faster/safe as the default reset i would choose this method

5. if i have to/ should use my backup (3.1) do i have to take any caution?

6. Befor i forget, of course its not to get banned when I'm using the official nand to play online games...

Thanks

Factory resetting your switch is completely useless as log files needed to ban you won't be deleted. Factory resetting will remove AutoRCM and burn your fuses to the current installed firmware. Only way of not getting banned is if you have a clean backup and never went online since you made it. In case you burned any fuses already I recommend you to still restore it and then unbrick over the old tedious hacdiskmount based firmware upgrade. As far I'm aware the new method will only work for 1.0.0 to 3.0.0 for now and so below your 3.1 backup but I could be misinformed. Fun fact booting Stock over hekkate without burning fuses never got me or any of my friends banned so far so if you want to go online restore your backup, update using hacdiskmount and always boot Stock will most likely don’t get you banned until emuNAND is out.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
1. Ok, well i hoped that the log will be deleted, so I'll use my nand backup as soon emunand is out.
Doesn't bothered me to wait but still thanks a lot for the information!

factory reset just deletes every games.
and you know that NSPs are not deletable.
i mean its just useless. a FULL reset is only via HacDiskMount possible. MattyTrog released a guide (i thought it isnt a guide but a comment)

I feel so stuck right now. Bought a used Switch which was already using cfw, so I never had the original OFW backup.
So now I feel I'll never be able to play online.

You could use switch-lan-play for some online games
I've heard about blocking Nintendo server by DNS or something too. I wondering about trying that too but don't know whether should I mess with it now. Maybe there'll be a chance in future too access Internet on consoles like mine without fear of getting banned. For now, I'm pretty happy with playing Zelda and Mario or using emulators to play my childhood games.
