Hi. I have a broken new 3ds xl, but I have a nand backup, movable.sed, a few other files and the SD card/contents. I was wondering what I would need to do to take those files and use them to clone the device onto a separate one, including system things like miis and friend codes. Iḿ not exactly sure what to do, but I've heard that it's possible to decrypt the NAND backup and use it to clone the device. My old device is currently broken, so I can't get any more files off of it. I might have some that I didn't mention.

So what exactly would I have to do? All I know I have are the nand backups (full NAND, not CTR) and movable.sed that I got while I was homebrewing. Can I restore a different console from this? If so, how? Thanks in advance!

@rzyao, from the GodMode9 discord channel, I'm about to witness you do something really idiotic to your replacement n3DSXL. You better not have forgotten to backup that replacement n3DSXL's SysNAND *.bin image.
Without its own backup, flashing the dead n3DSXL setup will irreversibly erase its console unique files and make recovery from a softbrick all the more difficult should something go wrong.

Here's a summary on why using a different 3DS/2DS nand files on permanent basis with online services and activities is terrible idea.
