ROM Hack AC3 Remastered sound is horribly compressed

Do someone have found a way to replace audio files for Assassins Creed 3 Remastered with PC audio files? It sounds terrible in its current state :/

The game is 11.6GB, and includes AC3 + DLC + Liberation HD, by reference the base game on WiiU was 17GB smh...

Mine is 15GB. That is the game, update and DLC content available. You are missing something (I thought the sound was fine, but I never played original so)

Careful with this, if you have any other files in the folder it will combine those too. should have a filter like this instead: (assuming the files are split 1.nca, 2.nca etc:

cd <path-to-split-nca>
copy /B *.nca ..\combined.nca

This script was not for merging NCAs. Never merge NCAs!
It was script for merging splitted NCA. It has only files 00, 01, 02, etc. And merging them will result in complete NCA.

Yes file extensions are just text. As in they don't matter, the NCA can be split and the resulting files still have a .nca (or .001 .002 etc etc as you explained.)

In case of splitted NCA you don't have file extensions at all.

Extracted the files, sound data is stored in:

romfs/ac3/sounddata/switch/sounds_eng.pck
                           sounds_sfx.pck

It seems to be the same as the PC

Eng PC: "471 515 kB"
Eng Switch: "299 892 kB"

ACL:
SFX PC: "668 395 kB"
SFX Switch: "448 159 kB"

Eng PC: "61 460 kB"
Eng Switch: "61 916 kB"

Tested. They are not compatible.

I suspect that the game you have is smaller size.. Maybe it is not right size for you. Redownload it for the correct about 15GB size. Not 11GB.
