Hi, newbie here.

I plan on doing a backlight mod for my original GBA and I was originally going to buy a normal kit off of ebay, but then I saw some that advertised as "type b cable, no ghosting"...These are more expensive and I can't tell if they're something I should actually consider or just bullshit to sell for more money. Should I buy a regular kit or spend the extra $20 or so on the "type b cables"?

If you have a 40pin gba you want the type b cable. 32pin gba doesn’t have the option. It only matters on the 40pin. And yes you really do want that cable even though it costs a couple dollars more.

Do you have some new info about that prototype? On the Bennvenn's facebook site I saw a last post from 24. of the March.

It’s in testing still, he’s been slammed with freckleshack orders so some things are on the back burner while they catch up. I’d keep an eye on the product page and sign up for email alerts for when the pre-order goes live. https://bennvenn.myshopify.com/col...sion-board-for-the-gba?variant=19835351236711

Already done, thank you. Do you think it will work with OEM displays (if so, is it the upper or bottom screen?) or should I buy original DSI for parts? I want to be prepared, thank you :)

It seems like they have stopped working on the DS - GBA conversion PCB board.. few months passed after I saw a last update of DS.. and then they're working with DSi, maybe they've got some problems? I thought it won't be such a long time :D
