Making my way to the wiki account (1/10)

I need to get a wiki account, which requires me to pm an admin, which requires me to send 10 posts...

that being said, if you legitimately want a wiki account simply let us know what your intentions are (which I hope are not spamming) and we will help

So, yes, I wanted to add to the verified count of games compatible with usb loader on WII (htt.s://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/USB_Game_Compatibility_Table)

So far, it did take me a few hours on the site, signing up, accessing features that weren't available, going twice in the chat to ask for support, to get to this point.
I just wanted to give feedback on usb-loader.
If it's so much trouble, maybe I was wrong to want to give back to the community with updates on what works for me.

yeah, I get theres something wrong with our process right now, especially with the lack of information...
I hope you realize this is all because of protection against actual spam robots, we don't really want to discourage people from becoming regulars, although in effect it's whats happening

Well hello there,
indeed, as my purpose was not to join the forum but to contribute to the wiki. I admit I took a few shortcuts in the maze that I had to cross to reach my goal.
As with every journey, I knew when it started but had no clue of what I would encounter and how long a travel it would be.

I'm happy to see that people I met along the way (FAST6191, Cyan, Costello) were quite helpful and took no offense in my to-the-point method.

I'm just another dude, with a modded WII, who had quite a few troubles getting WiiFlow (old version) to load some iso backups @ first, and had to setup WiiFlow Lite + bootMii to create a ROM backup + priiloader to autoload WiiFlow.

When I encountered my issues loading some game backups, I found your page of compatibility matrix quite useful (htt.s://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/USB_Game_Compatibility_Table), and wanted to contribute back by updating the confirmed count of the backups I can vouch for, as well as add details if there was any to be added.

Happy to be part of the community now, even though I had no intention to signup to anything @ first

I don't think that page is relevant anymore. Every game is compatible with USB loaders either with d2x cIOS base 56, 57 or 58. Only one game needs 58.

Haha, then maybe an update to the page would be to check that and either tag it as obsolete, or update all the games that have become compatible.

Most games either base56 or 57
Call of duty, sing it, just dance : base 57
Animal Crossing city folk : cIOS base38 to use the keyboard
spongebob boating bash : cIOS base53 (tested on Wii) or 58 (tested on vWii)
Spyro USB NFC Portal support on vWii : base 56, Portal on USB Port1 (back-bottom)


Yeah, an update to the page could be useful, but be sure you test the games you change, don't just set every game as compatible (some are not! some have antipiracy detection).
but if a game works with latest version of loaders (usbloadergx 1271, I don't know latest wiiflow version), be sure to update that info, and tell which d2x version/base you used.
no real reason to keep "works with d2x v4 !", as users shouldn't downgrade if they have a problem. if it doesn't work, it's usually a setting problem and not necessarily "working only on v4, not v8"


I saw your issue you sent me by PM.
@Costello : as the mail registration process is having issues (mails are not sent), I created his account manually without a mail.
but the page he wants to edit has "edit restriction to self verified users only", but he couldn't verify himself due to mail not sent at registration step.
I might just disable the page protection, as the full wiki is now protected against bot registration.
