I know I can rename them, but what I want to know is if there's some secret code/characters, that while aren't show on the USB Loader GX, they would be used to organize it.

Like my example, except (1) wouldn't be show, the game would only appear as "The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time". Does that make sense?

Edit: I forgot to mention, but for some weird reason I can't resync a WiiRemote while on USB Loader GX, I can resync while on a game, on the Wii Menu, and even on Emunand, but it doesn't work on USB Loader GX

Hi. Thank you for these NOOB PARADISE threads. It makes me feel welcome in this forum of overwhelming knowledge that I couldn't begin to comprehend.

I would like to do a full reversal of the Wii to Wii U transfer. I have a softmodded Wii with homebrew channel and some usb loaders, but I softmodded after the transfer, so I have nothing backed up. I've done a little reading on WADs, and how you can dump WADs of downloadable games and install them onto the Wii. Is that right? I am NOT in this for piracy. I strictly want to back up my own games and put them back on my Wii. I've seen programs like WAD Manager, ShowMiiWads, Wii Mod (Lite), but I don't want to dive in on impulse without understanding exactly what I'm getting into. A little guidance would be very helpful.

I would also like to back up the complete save data of all my games, physical and digital, including the save data that the Wii says can't be moved to SD (ex. MKWii, Brawl, etc.), and have it read on the Wii. How would I go about doing this?

EDIT: Erm, perhaps this would be better suited in the Wii U forum? I'll post this there as well, just in case. I apologize if that's against the rules.

Question about Wiimmfi:

It works for the most part but there's a couple of games it won't connect for me; Tatsunoko vs Capcom and The Conduit. Anything special I need to do? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, both for the response and apologize for the late reply.

So I followed Modmii and was successful in adding the HBC and following the rest of the instructions in the generated guide. Everything seems to be working fine, I can play Wii games and even tried some GC games but don't have the GC controller to play them properly.

I have another question with regards to playing WiiWare games, I have installed the wad files for a couple of wiiware games on the main Wii memory (nand) and was able to play them fine. However when I try dumping an emunand onto my hd using usbloadergx and installed the wads into usbloader, it seems to crash everytime i start one of the wiiware games.
Sometimes, with some games I black screen and other times it takes me back to the homebrew channel menu, there was a game that led to a white screen and just froze.

Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Not sure if this is helpful but I have shared my system check below:

Did you already try ModMii's "HackMii Solutions + Guide"?

Can you start a homebrew ? Like Syscheck ?

You can make the Mod from stock with Letterbomb (again):

Please don't use the "Bundle the HackMii Installer for me!" option when downloading it, instead place the DopMii boot.dol in the root of the SD card.

Good Luck.:)
is there a guide i could follow or can you explain the process please.

I have a weird question:

I know USB Loader GX can't b manually organized, however is there some sort of secret way to rename titles with a hidden character or something to force some sort of organization?

I would like to have everything be organized alphabetically, but titles in a series to be organized by release date, i.e Ocarina of Time before Majora's Mask, and Wind Waker after Majora's.

I wonder if there's any way to rename it to, let's say

The Legend of Zelda (1) Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda (2) Majora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda (3) the Wind Waker

But have the (*) be hidden on the actual USB Loader GX
sorry if this is too old but in wii backup manager (only if you dont use wbfs) there is an option to change the internal name of the games
