Gaming Can 3ds play ds backup

Hello i recently flashed my 3dsxl and its working great but i am wondering if i can play a ds game on my 3ds and if so how can i do that. It is a different formant then .cia file. Any information would be helpful.

with an r4 card yes you can play ds backups in .nds format

i think he is not using cfw. he just used a flashcard

I didnt use a cart i did it my self via tutorial with luna. It is cfw

TWiLight Menu++ will work for you then. It's a software frontend for nds-bootstrap, a sort of hypervisor that plays DS games natively from the System SD card.

Use the instructions to install via the Updater method for an easy setup. Roms go in SD:\roms\nds

Hello i installed twilight menu. I used winrar to un rar it not 7zip those first two files didnt merge is that a problem? I got it installed but i can't get it to pick up a .nds file.

Once you have it installed (use the updater to do this, please, then you don't have to worry about all that merging stuff), run the app, when you get to the DS Menu clone, hit the arrow in the bottom corner. Then seek to the folder that contains your DS games.

Thank u ot worked out. I did the install the update and looked for. What other system roms can i add to this cause in the folder it has a few of the systems
