Don't i need to go to Safe mode? I mean just in case, so it doesn't update above 5.05 :P
I read in your guide that in the safe mode we should pick option 7 (Reinstall the System software) :)

I think i remember doing that the last time :/

Believe me i want to pick another HDD, but the store i bought it from ONLY have 3 Seagate HDD that is 2,5"".... Real bummer... -.-

Well before using it, check the health on the drive, use software like Crystaldiskinfo, it will let you know if the drive is healthy before installing the PS4 OS.

I have changed the HDD 2 times now, and both of them were new, so i don't think its wrong with them... And now it's the third time :(
BUUT hahaha i think all those crashing when i launch HEN is causing the hard drive failure :P
Also i don't have any adapter to connect the HDD to my computer :(

Honestly I have crashed a squillion times with a stock 500GB for a release day console. Something is not right with yours for that to happen....

Wow really? :O

Maybe its this specific HDD model causing the failure?
I'm using this HDD: https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-FireCuda-Accelerated-Performance-ST2000LX001/dp/B01M1NHCZT
And i have picked it twice now since it's the most expensive one of those 3 internal HDD (2.5") the store have available. And this one have 5 years warranty.

They have another 2TB that is a bit cheaper since it's not a Hybrid SSHD.
This one: https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-BarraCuda-Internal-2-5-Inch-ST2000LM015/dp/B01LX13P71

The "problem" with the latter harddrive is that i will only get 2 years warranty on it.
When i go there tomorrow, i will get a replacement for free, so i don't know which one to choose :(

I would choose one you haven’t tried twice already. 2 years is a decent warranty imho :)
Then the second one it is! :)

When I get the new hard drive, I will install the 5.05 PUP through the Safe mode, you know just in case :P
And pick the 7th option :)

@theasker with your console off, take out the old one, put in the new one, have 5.05 rec or sys pup on your usb stick ready. Boot it up and format the hdd and reinstall the system software.

Bingo :)

KiiWii hahaha I'm sorry for double posting! :P
But they didn't have the other hard drive available but I got my money back..

But I found another Hard drive in another store.
What do you think about this one?
https://www.amazon.com/WD-Blue-1TB-Hard-Drive/dp/B079BQS5WQ

EDIT: daam, it got a lot of 1/5 stars! :O
Many people says it fails within 4-9 months :/

I have these two model, non hybrid model, I guess go for the ST2000LM015 one that you linked, then again I would recommend cleaning your PS4 in general, to make sure no problem with the system and the HDD reader in general.

I have never upgraded my internal drives, I just use WD and seagate drives for external storage, and (touch wood) never had a problem :P

Hahaha that's actually pretty smart!
I like it more when I don't have to see the hard drives etc :P

Hmm well that WD blue is good, but daamit I'm a bit sceptical right now since MANY have had problems with it...

I will do that :)
But the strange thing is that I bought my PS4 together with the first hard drive...
I bought the console and the hard drive #1 last year :/
But I will try to blow and see if there is any dust between the system and hard drive slot.

How does your ST2000LM015? How long have you had it? And do you have any issues?
I'm thinking to buy it, in about 20 minutes :/

Bought the ST2000LM015 last May, and bought the ST2000LM007 last June, the ST2000LM007 is the one in my 5.05 PS4 and the other one is in my regular PS4. No issue so far.

I just bought the ST2000LM007 :D

I updated it to 5.05 via Safe mode, and i have clicked on the "Disable Updates" (It was the first thing i did)...
I also disabled the "Automatic Downloads" in the system..

BUT just to be sure, i also connected my PS4 through FTP via FileZilla...
I don't remember exactly what to do here, but in the "Update" folder i can find these files:
https://prnt.sc/ndtz8a

Both of those folders are empty... But should i remove anything or keep it like that? Am i good after that? :)

Unless it is bugging you about update if not leave it alone, unless you are on DNS the PS4 sometime would try to download update so it can be annoying, I have mine completely offline, no wifi no wired network.

I am going to make it competely offline, i always do that :)
But i just want to make sure that one of those files isn't an pending update, even though i clicked the "Disable Update"..

By the way, when i click on the "Disable Update" i always get " Not Enough Free System Memory"... Is that normal? Does it mean that the updates are disabled or should i try again? First time this happens to me :/

You should be alright if you restart the ps4 and it doesn't prompt you to update, you can look into getting a small 32GB sandisk connect to host the file then cache the exploit.
