I have been trying to get a Nintendo Account linked to my Switch without avail. In my most recent attempt I updated from 6.0.0 to 6.1.0.
After doing so, I can no longer boot any payloads off my 256 GB Sandisk microSD.
I use SX Pro dongle to boot payloads. SX OS loads up fine, but REINX, RAJNX, Atmosphere and Hekate now just go to a black screen, requiring a 10s power down.
I tried another identical SD card from one of my other Switches and that worked fine... so the problem has to be with this particular card.
I tried formatting to exFAT again. Then I tried Fat32. Then I tried exFAT again. Regardless of formatting, nothing works.
I tried it in another Switch and no dice there either.
Otherwise the card behaves normally.
What on earth is going on?? Can this be fixed??

Update:
Hekate is now working. I tried to launch Reinx from Hekate, it crashes after the Splash. Tried Rajnx. Blacks out if trying to load its CFW. Same with Atmosphere.

I assume you're using the latest versions of each CFW? If not make sure you redownload the latest.

you can link a nintendo id even on a banned Switch using the files from this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/any-way-to-edit-profile-and-fake-link-account.526255/
I have been using those files and I can't get it to work.
I made a biskeydump
I created a system partition backup and a nand backup with hekate.
I opened the nand backup with hacdiskmount1055 and mounted the system partition
I replaced save and save meta folders and unmounted
I then saved the system partition and restored it with hekate
I couldn't boot up with SX OS or REINX.
So I restored my system partition backup, updated to 6.1.0, and restored the modified partition again.
Still can't boot up a payload with the modified system partition.
However, after waiting several minutes, I can boot in SX OS, but I don't have any linked accounts.

i didn't do it they way you did it, what i did was format the Switch then create new user on the Switch & right after the Switch has booted up i turned it off & mounted the system partition by injecting the memloader payload & using HacDiskMount to access system partition then i deleted the 8000000000000010 from the SAVE folder & replaced it with the one from the ZIP file.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that as soon as I can locate one of my usb c cables

i did it on 2 Switch consoles one was 6.0.1 & the other was 6.2.0

I got it to work.
I couldn't find my USB C cable so I had to dump the Nand.
I tried dumping the system partition and restoring just that, but it didn't work. I had to restore the whole NAND.

SX OS didn't work until I tried REINX first. And I only replaced the one file.

in the link i gave you i did mention doing it with Reinx. i'm glad you got it working

Yes, thank you. I mentioned that to confirm that part of your method was also necessary for me.
I tried goldleaf before but it just crashed. I also tried DevMenu which just froze.
I have 5 more switches to do. So I'll have to see if goldleaf works after initializing the console, as an easier alternative. If not I'll probably just wait a couple days for a new USB C cable, so I don't have to dump and restore the NAND for each.

MicroSD cards do not boot payloads. The Switch boots payloads. The payload calls out to the SD card to load essential content. Just FYI.

Of course, I didn't mean literally. Forgive my inaccurate expression. But I still am completely baffled as to why I can't get a payload to run properly from this particular sd card, which was working fine for months.

You're still saying it wrong. The payload doesn't run from SD card, the payload runs on the Switch with the source of the payload being your injector. Just say 'the CFW'.

Not sure what happened. Could be any number of things. Delete the CFW files, backup the Nintendo folder, format the card on PC, copy back the Nintendo folder and CFW, inject payload, see if CFW boots.

I formatted the card to exFat, tested it, then to Fat32, tested it, then back to exFat, tested it, then for good measure I used the Switch to format it and tested it again. Each time I copied only the necessary payload onto the SD card, just to make sure there wasn't something else involved. I also verified that the payload files I was using work on another switch by copying them to another SD card and using them on another Switch.

Weird. Dunno. Something strange is afoot.

Ugh! I finally figured it out. It was the SX OS 2.6/2.61. Since I use the SX Pro to boot up every time (I lost my USB C cables somewhere), I kept trying to use the latest build. Those builds work fine for SX OS, but using it to boot REINX doesn't work. My other SD cards had older versions (which work fine). So there was some user error in that I thought I was using identical files on separate SD cards, but apparently I was using different "boot.dat" files. :(

Edit: I couldn't find any of my saves in Checkpoint.
I learned that Checkpoint saves do not show up unless the game has been played at least once.
Also, to restore saves to multiple users, each user has to be selected when starting the game. (It may be possible after selecting multiple users in a multiplayer game instead of starting the game separately with each user, but I haven't tested that.)
