Remove Update nag on 6.1.0

Not sure if this is exactly safe but I did it and it seems to be working fine, the nag may come back if you go off of airplane mode though. I'm using 90dns and haven't had it come back so far so it should be fine.

You will need your biskeys to do this if you dont have them(you already should) look for another tutorial to see how.

Grab hacdiskmount and memloader from rajcuckos website https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/.

Open the memloader archive and copy the contents of the samples folder to the root of your sd card, now boot memloader.bin when the payload launches sel;ect ums_emmc from the menu.

Plug your switch into you pc if you see the "you need to format disk" popup just ignore it, now open hacdiskmount as administrator and then click file open psyhical drive then select linux ums disk

Once mounted in hacdisk mount click on your system partition then enter your biskeys for it and click mount

Now goto the mounted partition in your file manager and navigate to the save folder. Rename 000000000000000f to 000000000000000f.bak.

You should now be able to reboot and your supernag should be gone

what about the controller update nag on 6.0 feet?

I had use choidujourNX to update from 5.1 to 6.0 and now after every boot I get this?

Is it ok to press update?
Or how do I remove it?

@Shadow_The_Hedgehog82 just followed your tutorial but there is no 000000000000000f file? There are a bunch of other files there unless its under a different name?
no idea it's something i stumbled across, one of those would definitely work though but some are important, if you go into your placeholder folder in the system partition the update ncas are in there and can be deleted i think

What version is your switch on and what's the actual file size of the update file?

I just turn wifi off along with airplane mode on. Never turn it on ever. I don't care about online at all. Never was and never will.

@Shadow_The_Hedgehog82 Having the same issue as ganons there. Followed your instructions but the file name is missing or it's different. Anyone know which file I"m supposed to pick? Currently on 6.1 and want the stupid nag to go away.

Can't get that to work.
You highlight the launch option inside hekate (either stock FW or CFW, doesn't matter), confirm with the power button and straight within the next second you press both VOL buttons at the same time and keep them pressed until the maintenance mode boots up.

I'm able to get to maintenance mode, but my only options are update the system, delete all files except save data and such, or delete everything

You just need to boot into it. Once you're there, just reboot. That should be it.

It's probably just the game that wants to update. Latest update is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [UPD][0100152000022800][v589824]. Download the nsp and install it. You should be fine after that.

I had this very baffling problem with MK8D as well. I had the latest update already installed.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I tried copying the update from another switch as well. No dice.

--Even though I already had the the most recent update, I had to install it by NSP to get things working again.--

Note, I had the game card in when I reinstalled the update. When I took the game card out and tried to play from my installed NSP it wouldn't work at all. So I reinstalled the full game NSP without the game card in and now everything works normal again, with or without the game card.
From my experience, I would suggest that if you have both the game card and NSP, take the game card out when installing the update.

Since this is first Google search result,
Update: FW8.1 still working method.
Steps to recreate:
Atmosphere with Auto recovery mode enabled. got an update nag every time I tried to open a game. Inserted dongle with payload back into atmosphere via hekate. Held power button and selected restart. Once restart started (I didn't rush), I held down vol up+down only. Atmosphere logos showed, 10sec went by, then I was in the recovery menu. Can't remember if I pressed B and it was laggy or if I had to power cycle. No more nag. Thanks everyone
