This sums up pretty much all the story:

hbg talked with not-donations about using "golden links" (they abuse the google drive API), not-donations advised against it because of Google, hbg did it anyway. Then hbg admin talked to not-donations about making the shop, not-donations said he didn't felt comfortable with all the attention and it shouldn't be done, and if they did not-donations would have to part ways. hbg did it anyway, not-donations purged all their infrastructure, deleted all the accounts on discord and jumped off. hbg started to attack not-donations with logs (that proved that not-donations didn't want a shop), bullshit excuses (like that they lost CDN access and they were using hbg as a scapegoat), demanding apologies from not-donations, etc.

Eventually, one of their hosts took them down, so they moved to another one. The shop info and their spreadsheet got leaked, so they made a traitors channel and started abusing people for access to their crap server. Then they took down the spreadsheet and came up with the idea of allowing shop only to donators (at $20+ donations), and eventually, they started talking about taking everything down.

Was it worth it? And now it seems they want to take the reigns of the scene:

Also, they've turned into StargateNX now since of people releasing their stashes just as they did to not-cdn stashes. It's gone full circle!

I hope not-cdn comes back. I've found a lot of games I will buy that I wouldn't otherwise touched with a 10ft pole if it wasn't for their dumps. (also a but load of crap...but that's common, not everyone likes the same things)

I spoke with them, they aren't coming back. Everything was purged.

not-cdn got pushed out of the scene by /hbg/ shenanigans
now /hbg/ is taking their place and accepting donations when they get started
whatta coinkidink
And now they're being pushed by the general public(?). It's like Newton's Third Law of Motion. It states, "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."

Look guys quite winging about hbg shop, if you don’t like it don’t use it go and buy stargatenx instead, if you think that’s going to be a safer more respectful reliable source! crack right on!
Shut the thread please, it’s a breeding ground for @linuxares insecurities! as far as I can read.

It certainly sounds like that in most of your comments directed at the discord channel/hbg/shop unless I am reading them wrong.
Well, I know who they're that operate it. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole. It's nothing against my securites, it's more of "I rather not be involved with that crowd" thinking.
If you missed how they did to "pulled away" not-cdn, you would know why they aren't really... liked by others.

But if you feel I'm insecure, go ahead and feel that way. I don't mind :P

hgb sucks but I've got to hand it to them, this works pretty well. Not sure what all the commotion was about because the place I get my games from is still up and running just fine.
