Hacking Firmware 4.1.0 to 7.01

Here is what I did myself. I have a switch that was on 5.1.0 without exfat support. Then I got a Microsd 128gb formatted to fat 32. Bought Sx pro, made a nand backup. Stored it at a safe location. Then I made an emunand via Sx OS. Booted via emunand and used choirdujournx and updated to 6.2.0. Copied all contents from my micro SD to pc, formatted micro sd to exfat, put back all the files again into the microsd and now: Enjoying all benefits from cwf and my nand is totally clean safe/untouched.

Once you have Dev Menu installed, use ChoirDujourNX plus a copy of the 7.0.1 firmware to update to 7.0.1 (exFAT).

1) save 4.1 nand (fat32)
2)update with choidujournx to 7.1 firmware.(exfat)
3)save 7.1 nand
4)install devemenu by Goldleaf app
It's ok?

I'm in the same boat. On 5.0.1 and want to go to 7.0.1. I don't want to do any piracy. Should I enable AutoRCM in ChoiDujourNX to prevent burning fuses?

Keep in mind that if you want to save your fuses choi will auto turn on autoRCM forcing you to use a custom boot loader every time you boot. If you dont have autoRCM turned on and you accidentally boot OFW you can kiss your fuses goodbye forever.

You can always upgrade/downgrade. But if your fuses are burned when downgrading, you have to boot through RCM.

If i install a nsp game and i put the nintendo switch on the sleep mode and later i switch on beacuse i would like to install an other nsp.i just connect my switch to the computer with the jig and it will be on RCM or i need to switch off?

If the switch has only been in sleep mode and hasn't run out of power or crashed in a way that means you need to reboot the switch from cold or you've powered the switch down, then you don't need to use the jig again. In latest atmosphere even the reboot menu doesn't need the jig.

such a relieve to found your post. I am on the same boat as you i bought a switch off from ebay (new) taken out from the bundle and it is on its way to me. It has OFW 4.1.0 and a unpatched serial number. I was googling last night and i saw that any switch with 4.1.0 will be ipatched, i was worried at that point and still am now. Got to wait for mine to arrive and push a payload see if it is patched. My serial is XAW700141. Yours?

Yeah unfortunately for me, I booted my switch normally and burnt my fuses after updating from 5.1-6.2 but honestly it doesn’t matter with the way things are right now, I finally felt ok to use autorcm because atmosphere allows the switch to shutdown and I only close my switch like once a week.

Goldleaf. But for that you either have to use nightly builds or wait. If you can, install devmenu 6.x define edition now (search for it).

Could you please post a hash of the devmenu nsp? I don't trust the internet very often.
