So I’m pretty new to the switch modding scene. I have the SX Pro dongle kit and only use SXOS. I was running SXOS (2.5.3) on firmware version 6.0.0, and not realizing what I was doing, I updated my switch to firmware version 7.0.0 because I thought 2.5.3 supported cfw on 7.0.0. I quickly realized I just made a huge mistake and panicked only to end up deleting my NAND. I have no NAND backup and I can no longer boot into original or custom firmware. The first time I tried to boot into either firmware I got a solid blue screen. I was able to get out of it. Ever since then nothing happens when trying to boot into Custom or original firmware it just black screens and cannot get into anything past the SXOS boot thing. I have 2 Nintendo switch systems and a 2nd SX Pro dongle kit. Is there any way to fix this situation?

Not sure what you mean by deleting your actual nand.
I mean sure if you deleted it and no longer have a nand backup on your pc or whatever but the actual nand i’m a bit unclear.
I guess - and I’m no expert mind you - you still have the option of waiting for 7.0.0 support to come for cfw
as you’ll always be able to push a payload in rcm mode.

After booting up my switch from being completely off. The SXOS menu pops up where I can choose to load into Custom or original firmware as well as options. I uploaded a picture of the SXOS menu which is as far as I can go. And the other picture shows the menu. I think I made a mistake when saying I “deleted” my NAND. I tried to repair my nand and backup my nand but I didn’t have a backup NAND in the first place.

Dump and delete are very different things. Dump just makes a copy of you nand on your sd card.

7.0 is not supported by sxos yet. I’m not sure why can’t load ofw. Have you tried booting into ofw without the dongle and jig?

Yeah I’ve tried to boot without the dongle but nothing seems to wanna turn on without it. I also uninstalled auto rcm so it wouldn’t interfere with anything just in case since I have the jig to use. But my switch won’t do anything without the dongle. I can’t boot into original firmware even with no jig no nothing

still a bit unclear of what you did brother. I mean if you tried to dump your nand on an sd card it wont actually delete your existing nand. existing nand can only be overwritten as far as I know with the tools that we have.

If nothing works, maybe you can try updating to 7.0.0 OFW with ChoiDujour to get your Switch booting again, that should just rewrite the firmware on your NAND.
I never tried updating with ChoiDujour so I don't know exactly if and how this is possible, but I've seen people "unbricked" their Switch with it. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I guess you need 7.0 keys to do that, better to downgrade to firmware 5.x or 6.x and then boot with SX

Yeah I’m sorry I’m bad at describing it, it’s very hard to explain. I think what I did was after I updated my switch to 7.0.0, I tried to fix it by dumping my NAND through the SXOS menu (pics above), and it failed to create a backup and then I tried loading into OFW and I got a blue screen. After the blue screen I went back to the SXOS menu and tried restoring the NAND which I had just attempted to dump but I didn’t even have a backup so the restoration had an error. And now my switch doesn’t want to let me boot into neither CFW or OFW. But I am still able to reach the SXOS menu

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Is there a way to downgrade firmware version and such without being able to boot into OFW or CFW?

Can you backup your PRODINFO using hekate ? iirc that's all you need to create a fresh NAND

I don’t currently use hekate I soleley run my switch with SXOS and the included dongle. Which has pretty much been able to do everything I need it to. So I’m kinda unfamiliar with Hekate. I am able to use that without booting into CFW and OFW correct. Bc if so then I can probs get that working. Also I am unfamiliar with choidujour, is it similar to hekate?

That would be better, but I bet his fuses are burned already. So that's not an option I guess. Can't you use 6.2.0 keys to update to 7.0.0? How else can you perform an update with ChoiDujour? Only to use CFW on 7.0.0 you need the keys for now, but I think our goal now is to get the Switch booting again at least.

You know both SX and hekate bypass fuse check, don't you ?

What does my fuses being burnt mean? I’ve seen it on other forums.
When your fuses are burnt, it means you aren't able to downgrade anymore, because the switch will compare the firmware version with the amount of fuses burnt, if too many are burnt, it won't boot. You can check how many fuses are burnt with hekate. If you have 9 fuses, you can still from 7.0 but you won't be able to boot the official way, you'll have to use a custom bootloader (SX,hekate or reinx)

Makes sense. So I guess I’ll have to check how many fuses I have burnt. Then see if I can downgrade. Do u supposed sxos with eventually be able to support 7.0.0? I’m fine with not being able to boot into OFW or without some sort of custom boot loader because I don’t play games online or anything and don’t care about being online or anything. Just as long as I can get into CFW or something I’m good. So I guess my next step will be to try downgrading or something. So should I use Hekate to check my fuses. Then try to create a fresh NAND or downgrade

You can check the burnt fuses so you know, but it won't matter cause you'll always be able to downgrade and boot (as long as you didn't damaged your prodinfo with what you did)
