Powerful is a generalization of how hardware stacks up against another, allbeit a very poor one. Different consoles are good at doing different things, and it isn't often that one piece of hardware is better than another in "every way". N64 emulation on a psp but not a n3ds is an extremely good example of this, now could we not bump threads from 3 months ago?

Please no, Wii had a different architecture, if you compare Gflops N3DS is 4.8 and Wii is 12, smooth emulation isn't possible, buy a switch and wait for the emulator

I get that the 3DS isn't the fastest, but N64 emulation's decently consistent on the Wii, which has a single-core PowerPC CPU clocked at 729MHz, a 243MHz GPU, and 88MB of RAM. So... why can't a dual-CPU system with a quad-core ARM11 clocked at 804MHz, a single-core ARM9 clocked at 134MHz, a GPU clocked at 268MHz, and 256MB of RAM? A New 3DS has WAY more power than the Wii, yet it's impossible to do something the Wii does at full-FPS most of the time???

The Nintendo Switch is barely able to emulate N64 with dynarec. The LoZ: OoT, LoZ:MM, and SF64 ports don't count. The only way you can reasonably play N64 games on the 3DS is if you emulate them on PC where video is sent to the handheld while controller input is sent back to computer.

Edit - It's difficult as it is to emulate GBA on the 3DS (mGBA, gpSP). This is considering the fact the 3DS can perfectly play GBA natively through Virtual Console.

That doesn't answer why this is all possible on a Wii instead.

I think half the posts on this board is someone asking why an emulator doesn't play on a certain console. *facepalm*

Maybe because it legit makes no sense, considering the systems it is and isn't possible on, according to people like you?
Possible? Yes
Probable? No (Would be a programming nightmare.)
Welcome to the wonderful world of emulation! Nothing is fun in coding. Oh, and RetroArch exists, so just use that. Hell, it's already on the 3DS!

You know what, you're right. It's unfair. You should make a sign and protest to the hackers.

LOL u mad. I didn't say it was possible or impossible. It just gets old seeing the forum filled up with "why doesn't this emulator work on this console" I don't make stupid threads like that. I let the hackers do what they do and I'm smart enough to realize there's probably a reason why a certain console or handheld doesn't have an emulator. What good does crying about it do? None at all.

You didn't create this thread but you bumped it after 3 months which is just as bad.

Actually, I made a new thread. A mod moved my post here.

and you were already told get a Switch or get over it. There isn't one on 3ds deal with it, life's not fair.

You gonna buy me that Switch? If not, don't use that kind of shit against someone. Not everyone has the money. (Speaking of, no, life's not fair. That doesn't give you a free pass to be a dick because someone suggested something. That's becoming the norm here, though, but whatever, not like any other forums have any weight so it's not like I can really leave)

Nope, get a job and stop crying on a forum about something that doesn't exist. If you don't like it, make an emulator yourself for the 3DS.
I'm going through school, no time for a job. Also, i'm not crying. You're being an ass because you either don't like people suggesting things might be possible because no one's ever tried, or because you just like being an ass. I'm merely trying to disprove your unhealthy line of thinking and defend myself from personal attacks. This could've easily been civil, but no. You had to insult me.

Also.
Not everyone has the experience to make an emulator. That's why people request things.

Its not suggesting when you were told why it is not possible and you stick your fingers in your ears like you dont want to hear it. Turdpoocharger knows more about 3ds than you ever will and you werent satisfied with his answer because you're a dick.

Nobody owes you the exact technical reasons why like you seem to think most of us are not engineers you should grow up and appreciate when the hackers release something for you not demand it.

Maybe I would keep listening if others weren't being hostile about it? The technical reason is important when everyone goes "lolololol dis impossible" without HAVING one. We might not be engineers, but we are coders, hackers and homebrew enthusiasts, so unless I missed the memo and we've reverted to banging rocks together, we still need a reason to say something's impossible. I also wasn't demanding it be made, I was trying to ask for an explanation. I wasn't being a dick initially, I only became hostile after receiving hostility. Hackers have always at least acknowledged requests since the hackers KNOW not everyone is on their skill level. The acknowledgement is usually something like "well, it's possible, but we're busy, sorry" or "that's impossible, here's why". You responded with "lol just get a switch, fuck you" so I responded with hostility.
