Gaijinhunter's cats would be perfect for that. Just go online and ask someone in his discord channel to pass it to you.
What do i do after getting on his discord? Theres no channchannechannchannel deticated to.catz files, or any channels dedicated to mhgen in general

there's no need for a .catz file if you are given the cat in-game. Also in the r/MonsterHunter discord there should also be plenty of people in the Gen room that can give the cats

Well, ive got one more question, is it possible, with save editing, to get a healing forte palico with both armor and demon horn? The doviikat in this thread has a bombing forte palico with palico rally equipped after all...

yes, its possible - but not particularly useful. The forte-specific first skills wont be used by AI cats unless it matches their forte (but you can use them as Prowler if you abuse void slots right). None of the loopholes in Gen work in GenU though.

Wait so will the doviikat not transfer to mhgenU? Also i forgot to mention whilst having the cheerhorn

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I understand the part of palico making that theres a certain amount of points each move uses and theres only so many points a palico can have, but what i for the kife of me cant understand, is how to find and match the rng number for moves and skills to what the palico has

Hi, I'm new here. I don't understand how it really works. Is it ok if I extract my SD card from my 3ds and use a device to put it in my computer then edit my save file after, of course, making some back up ?

Sorry if my english sounds bad

The save is encrypted on your SD. You need homebrew to export an unencrypted version before you can edit.

Would it be possible to ask some to mod a gamesave (just all box items + zenny) then work with me to transfer the save to my switch? Or do I physically need both?

hello everyone i have a simple question:
I can not find some items in the editor like for example: brach pallium, hyper brach cortex etc.
Is there any way to get them with the editor?

EDIT: SORRY MY BAD GOOD WORK WITH THE SAVE EDITOR ;)

@iSharingan About Palico editing, is there in no way possible to break the limit of the number of skill you can equip without them revert to nothing when entering a quest?
Would a Assist be better than Bombing in gauge generation if I'm mainly just throwing boomerang?

There was a way in Gen/X, but it doesn't work in GenU/XX. Forte-specific actions cheated onto cats would never be used by the AI anyway, making 99% of potential applications of the loophole pointless. 'Ideal' cheated Gen builds ultimately looked a lot like GenU/XX builds (without the increased memory slots or the new skills/actions) - since typically you could only fit and use 1 extra good skill/action, which became officially possible in GenU/XX via the second learn slot. My loopholed bomb cat in Gen only added Piercing rangs in addition to being taught Emergency Escape - which is legitimately possible in GenU via the second learn slot. Everything else I optimized on my cats was was possible legitimately by getting the right skill/action patterns. The only remaining way to 'cheat' cats that works across all games is to apply the DLC flag to a cat (add 80 to byte 0xE0 after the first letter in the cat's name - which also indicates whether the cat is selected as prowler) and switch the first "B" tier skill with a DLC skill.

Would a Assist be better than Bombing in gauge generation if I'm mainly just throwing boomerang?

Bombing was technically better than Assist for gauge gain in combat mainly due to EVERY action getting increased gauge when fighting a large monster (Assist only benefited from rangs) - at least in Gen. GenU reworked a fair bit of the gauge gain mechanics so only a few points actively stand out as better in specific cases on certain biases. Assist, Gathering, and Healing are technically better for elemental and status effects due to the motion values on the third boomerangs. Bombing gets an adept evade, though, letting you keep up your DPS without worrying about getting hit as much.

As a side note: Bombing also gets ridiculous gauge gain from successful hits with bombs in GenU/XX (it gave zero gauge on hit in Gen/X), so if you master the melee combo -> mini barrel bombay cancel (support actions can cancel the endlag of the combo finishers and mini barrel bombay is fast and lets you move again faster than even barrel bombay) you can potentially build gauge stupid fast and repeatedly nuke monsters with Giga Barrel bombays every 15-30ish seconds for insane flat damage, taking down G rank monsters faster than boomerang builds can. The adept evade implies this may well be an intended strategy for Bomb cats.
