Hacking Configurable USB-Loader Mod crashes if WiiU HDD is connected

I have my Wii games on the SD card and the WiiU games on a WiiU-Formated disk. If I unplug the WiiU disk, CFG USB-Loader works as expected. If I plug it in, it does not get past the splat screen. Is this normal? Are there workarounds to this?

Wonderful.
I thought with the normal d2x only the lower back port is forwarded to the vWii.
