We're still waiting on the M0rpheus exploit where you hijack video apps, similar to the 3ds or WiiU, can't remember which. It's supposedly going to be for 6.02/6.20, probably 6.20 since the video applications require a connection to PSN.

If you want to play the new games, you should update or buy new console for hacking.
I list all interests on PS4 hacking long time ago, mostly because there is no usefully hombrews like the switch and the 3DS, even the Vita has enough hombrews that worth it for hacking.
Maybe next year or in the EOL of PS4 we will see full hack for PS4.

Like I said Gamesharing on PS4 is not new. I've been doing it for several years. I'm on more than one forum that rents and sells gameshare accounts.

This got toxic pretty quickly... all I asked for was what makes it worth hacking it at this point. Also, WHY THE HELL should paying for a outrageously over- priced console just to play emulators be your first piece of advice when someone's asking for news and info about the scene? At some point this is going to happen regardless of firmware, and I can wait. I dont need two ps4s and I doubt most people asking do either.

Nobody can tell you what YOU should do with YOUR PS4's firmware. The options are obvious. You stay on 5.55 you can't play games above 5.55, you update you might miss a hack later. You want the best of both worlds buy another PS4. It's not brain surgery.
this whole fiasco just enforces the notion of pc master race. i'd imagine most people are only interested in the exclusives on ps4 other wise the toy would be boxed up. the weeks of teasing and hype only made matters worse.

When this method was announced it was clearly stated that it was a method or a "glitch" and it was only for games and that it was not a kexploit.
If you spent the last 2 weeks thinking your > 5.5X was going to get a hack to install fpkg games then you need to read and understand what was originally said.
Without the ability to run code or a kexploit you cant load hen so fpkg games are not going to be a thing.
Toxic behavior will only serve to have people that are in the possession of glitches or exploits to not release them and all that does is stall progress.
If you want to say the scene is dead then you only have yourselves to blame in the end

If "toxic behavior" really stopped the scene there never would have been a scene on any console in the first place. People acting spoiled about hacks is not new. It even went on during the PS1 era in the late 90's. That's not why there's not a hack, it's because PS4 is f'n hard to hack.
I remember during the PS2/Dreamcast days people would throw fits about games not be released on the internet before release date. But it never stopped the scene from going on.
I believe like every other console ever there will be newer hacks for PS4 eventually even if it's not for years from now.

The thing is there is a hack but the people that have it are not going to release it to the public probably because it has not been patched and why would they release it to a group of people that are negative towards them, there is just no upside to release it and being toxic is not going to get them to release it which is what i was getting at.
I for one am glad they have not released it because i am happy with 5.05 because it gives us everything we need.
The person who has it (if he really even does) Mathieu is considered to be the toxic one by many, and even if he does have a newer hack it doesn't mean there's not other people out there that can't come up with a newer hack. You know you don't have everything you need with 5.05 because you can't play newer games or games that haven't come out with yet. Unless you never plan to get another game on PS4 past March 2018 or have a second PS4 you don't have all the games that are out or are coming out.
Point is you're buying into what one guy says about the entire scene being toxic when it's just not true, and that one guy will not stop the scene from continuing eventually.
