ReiNX CFW updated to work on Switch firmware 6.2.0

Popular Nintendo Switch custom firmware ReiNX now supports the infamous 6.2.0 Switch firmware version, as of the latest update made by @Reisyukaku with help by Elise. 53 commits have been made to this new build, the most notable of which is support for all current firmware versions for the system, joining the likes of Hekate and Atmosphere.

i've got my 4.1 backup and will not go online. i just removed my internet settings completely and airplane mode, so i should be good. I'll eventually get a second switch for online. I'll avoid a ban until the day it doesn't matter or i feel like selling mine.

so, if banning doesn't matter, does this cfw match the others, or are there things it does better? piracy or otherwise?
Ignoring piracy, it uses outdated atmo sysmodules (also not all enabled).
This gives you some less features (proper title replacement, no first class hbl support, no disabling of error collection service, no replacement of said one).
Also there are some more technical issues I don't want to go into here.

Aso what @Ev1l0rd said

I saw that smash has a update patched to work in a 5.1.0 firmware, im trying to find how can i patch nsp to lower firmwares.

- I try nspatch but require a keys.txt files
- I try with 4nxci but i think i have only old keys so after converting it require new firmware

Someone know how to do it? I dont want to update firmware right now if theres a way to patch the .nsp/xci to nsp

can someone explain why reinx exists? what is different about this compared to atmosphere?
(i didn't intend for this to be mean or whatever)

Atmosphere is for use of homebrew, reinx is for homebrew and backup games in the format of .nsp

There's a bold faced lie if I've ever seen one. Both are capable of piracy, and both are capable of homebrew. Atmosphere just offers a bit more.

does anyone know if latest version of reinx has protection for nand and homebrew stuff like atmosphere has? thx

Hi,
I wonder should I replace the modules file with these file. I tried the netcheat but it stuck on nintendo logo. Anyone have ideas how we can fix or it just can't be fixed?
Everything else was fine except for the netcheat.
Thank you.

what do you mean with "protection"? ReiNX is a fork so, sure.
Latest version of Atmosphere write protects the ns module and BIS partitions are made read only (to prevent OGs little "bricking fun" and similar derivatives from fucking up devices) as well as backing up CAL0 on boot with a maintained file handle on it so that other software can't manipulate it.

"competition is dangerous to the scene"

ReiNX is hardly competition given it's literally unsafe Atmosphere in the end. It's atmospheres sysmodules with exosphere checks removed (which the commits list as "Atmosphere DRM"), a custom bootloader (no point to that, use Hekate + Atmosphere KIPs if you want an alternative bootloader, you'll literally achieve the same thing), bundled sigpatches, unsafe mitm of the settings causing the User Agent to report the exact version of ReiNX you're using to Nintendo and a custom bootsplash.

I'd call it competition only in the sense that it somehow gathers a following by misbranding Atmosphere as a "dev only" CFW and calling itself much easier to use... which is a tactic that's been used before in the case of Luma3DS and ReiNAND/ReiSix.
