RetroArch specific Overclock. Not system wide.

Mario Kart 64 runs well but can have fps drops.

Texture issues after long play with Mario Kart 64 sometimes also are known.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Maybe drop the internal resolution to gain some fps in high intensive N64 games. That should help.

Shaders can cause slowdown with N64 games depending on how demanding they are. Double check shader settings incase they are still on from previous core or game.

so there is no way to improve performance of games with unlock frame rate at this time( such as Resident Evil Revelations 2)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I'm playing Banjo (amazing), but with several FPS drops (first first world, 1500 OC, low res), any way to reduce these slowdowns? Only the 1700OC?

Sorry for my bad english.

I'm testing this weekend, and I'll make videos, because the leonidas video is rotten and irrelevant, you don't see the settings, nor the framerate, 10 min of video to see a guy on the phone what's the point?

He starts showing the frame around 31 minutes in

Talk about luck, get CFW on my switch 2 days ago and the OC is already out lol. How much testing has the max clock been under? Is there some sort of temperature monitor option in retroarch?

Mario Kart is running great here too, you can see Mario Kart 64 Performance in the tutorial/overview video above :D

Make sure your shader are off. If you had them enabled for another game or core they may still be on causing fps drops. Always a possibility I've made that mistake before.

Fps will increase overtime as the emulator is optimised. Once the bounty is completed things should run smooth as butter

He means improve framerate in Switch games with overclocking, not within RetroArch

Trying the latest 11/30 nightly. Setting overclock to 1.5Ghz. Tried running Super Mario 64 (few different versions). Each time the title screen comes up ("It's a me, Mario"), then pauses for a second and crashes. Full restart is needed. Any ideas?

Just wondering does anyone know the best settings for Super mario 64, as mine is stuttering big time even with overclock on full.
I don't have shaders on, do have threaded video on, audio latency at 120ms, and internal resolution at lowest.

Actually forget that, I just did a fresh install or RA and all good.

Really bummed Starfox 64 isn't working Lol

Awesome awesome update nevertheless.

More detailed overview on the overclocking/underclocking with a BUNCH of RetroArch cores.

Should help answer some questions and give a better understanding on performance with each core.

Okay, man, that's cool.
This video is informative, I didn't want to be mean on your first video, just that I couldn't see anything at all, and that the first 10 minutes was useless, but thanks for your videos
:switch::grog:

just simple 5min videos like that's enough for me, just to see what the oc brings
example Zelda oot

F ZERO X

Virtua racing 32X
