ROM Hack Suggestion Pokeball Plus Mew Emptier?

to be on topic, it seems you can easily sync the pokeball plus with your android phone(and iphone?) for use with pokemon GO. so, just like dumping and editing the memory with the joycons, I bet someone could figure out how to edit the information in the pokeball plus.

perhaps editing the experience gained when taking a pokemon for a "walk" as well hehe.

Sadly beyond my skills but that sounds like a doable idea!

lol.! hopefully any such tool would take a backup of the unique serial or whatever is in there that later gets redeemed online to the mystergift code on ninty servers. that way it could be restored or given away to another pokeball plus owner for a second mew.

but I doubt most pirates/others with banned consoles would care too much.

if not sure if it's data storage is the same as the joycons? if it is the joycon toolbox (that app that allows you to change colors) might work?

Well it's got to have a bit more storage space for Pokemon storage, probably more than a joycon can hold for it's firmware. Nothing crazy, but probably a 128MB flash or something.

its a bit far fetch.. but ever thought about driving to a school with a crappy van and looking for a kid with a switch playing Lets go, and ask "Hey Kid, do you want a free mew? if you do, climb on!"

Well... maybe don't do the van thing... but post on kijiji/craglist or what ever ways your country uses to sell used things locally and give it away to somebody, i'm sure they'll be more then happy to take a free mew

Well it's got to have a bit more storage space for Pokemon storage, probably more than a joycon can hold for it's firmware. Nothing crazy, but probably a 128MB flash or something.

128Mega...bit? Cause megabyte would be Overkill. Lol. It just needs the one Pokemon (it's only one at a time) type data, and the cry may be uploaded on the fly so you could get away with maybe a megabyte or less depending on how the cry sample is compressed.

I was charging it from my phone charger bank. And I got a little over 5 hours and same with my daughter. Did you give it a full charge?

You already can easily hack in Mew thru PKHex though.

I wasn't aware that PKHEX was already ready for let's go, and I don't think Nintendo is gonna acknowledge its existence ever. Most folks don't know about it, so Nintendo put a check that'd trip a lot of folks.

I was able to bypass the Mew checking in the game with some debugging. I'm going to make a patch for it. If anyone still needs this, please contact me by PM so we can get in touch to test this
