Hacking How do i update ReiNX and other apps?

I followed this guide a while ago: http://www.ns-atmosphere.com/en/blog/injector-user-manual/

And I have no clue how to update my stuff? Also, I thought I was using Atmosphere not ReiNX for a long time. :/

I'm also getting some errors trying to install games using n1dus because Tinfoil doesn't work for me for some reason (It crashes when you click into "install NSP")

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

To update the apps just download them and out them into the folders the old vet is in. Your really just overriding them.
I had issues with tinfoil when I tried to update a month ago just went back to the older version that worked for me

I replaced the folders for ReiNX, it still says it's version 1.1 when i downloaded and replaced them on 1.7?

I always back up and wipe out all the associated files with the old versions before moving over the updated ones. Also make sure you're using the latest ReiNX.bin and use the latest nightly build of ReiNX if you are using FW 6.0+

If you want to use atmosphere, you can go here to customize the package for atmosphere, just delete your ReiNX related stuff, drag over the atmosphere files, and use hekate 4.1 as your payload

Well I'm actually fine with ReiNX but i just have a problem with installing some games and i don't know how to fix it.

Is there any way I can start fresh and keep all my saved games?

Okay you want to update things, probably easily.

Get and use checkpoint and make backups, and save the folder it makes somewhere...

Hit up the Kosmos SD Setup, pick the payload you wanna use and grab the package. Backup then redo your SD Card with the package, except for the nin folder. Use the new payload...

Be sure to utilize the Updater...

Once you back up your game saves, just initialize the console back to factory, format your SD (AFTER YOU BACK UP EVERYTHING IMPORTANT ON IT LIKE YOUR GAME SAVES), then you're basically back to square one, just go through a guide to set up CFW, run checkpoint again and restore your save game data.

If you have a NAND dump that you made before doing anything to the switch you can always restore that too just make sure you haven't burnt any fuses since you made the NAND dump.
