Strangely, Ive realized that every time I click restore nand I get an error (4) message. Im using the official hekate and I delete the hekate.ini from the root sd.. any advice?
Was a backup that i made before the brick.

Your backup was from before the brick? I thought that you said that you don't had a backup.

I just went through this. Error 4 means no file found. You need to move the files because you restore from a different folder than the backups are made too. ;)

no, you are correct. I do not have a backup from my bricked switch, however I bought a new one and decided to test backing up/restoring before I would go ahead and continue with any hacks. I wanted to make sure that I understood it properly and it worked correctly before I continued. And Im glad I did, as I am now having errors restoring any of my backups I created. All of the errors are error(4).

Last time I watched and wasn't involved really. This time I made the bricker, and a friend of mine leaked it on [SITE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED] without my permission. I wasn't gonna post it, and was planning on keeping it private. I didn't mean for this to happen and I regret making this, and am unbelievably sorry for all of the victims...
"Friend"

Actually, the dude that is here taking credit for it needs all his personal information posted up on the internet for everyone to see, and he needs to be banned from all hacking sites and discord servers. He is lying out his ass that his friend did it, he himself did it.

He even made the file..this isn't the first time

Indeed, I attempted to to copy paste the files(I have a 128gb sd) to backup/restore/[insert file names here] and no luck.. you care to tell me what was the pathway you used? either way I appreciate your response!

So go test it for me then :) If the malicious NSP was converted to XCI, it still ran the brick code. It was posted here earlier and I've seen it in discord.

LOL!! Yeah...no. If you do, make sure to do a nand backup before.

That's the path. It's correct.
But, if you have a backup from a different switch it will not work.

I know bro, I wouldnt even try lol But hey, thanks for confirming. I think something is going on with the software or the backup I made is compromised.

I'll try it, thanks for your input!

Let me tell you guys the whole story.

Basically, OG made some brick code, threw it into an NSP and said "anyone wanna post this on DU?" I did. It was funny. But you know what isn't funny? Having your switch permanently bricked because you forgot to make a nand backup. Yes part of it was my fault, and part of it was OG's fault, but you have to remember, none of you made a NAND backup. I don't care at this point if my credibility or my reputation goes down the drain, I just needed you to know the truth. Of course some of it was mine and OG's fault. But some of it was yours too.

Sure its the users fault when they had 0 idea that it was a fake file... Thats like trying to watch a movie on netflix but instead of Micky Mouse hardcore porn starts playing instead. Don't worry though netflix isn't to blame though. You started streaming the movie
