I'm currently learning to code on Wii U,going to do a freeshop for Wii U.
Didn't Nintendo implement the same security as on the Switch? That's what killed freeShop on 3DS. Isn't that on Wii U as well?

isn't it possible to get ps3 or xbox 360 emulation on Wii U with internet support? Maybe a unrealistic question, but this both consoles are less powerful than wiiu and older gen console too,?

 Wii U isn't capable of emulating even PS2, GCN and XBox Classic or Dreamcast, forget about it.....

An alternate game runner, to bypass required game updates e.g. to play old versions of Super Mario Maker with all the glitches. Kinda like how you could use Riivolution to bypass the "System update" screen on the Wii while trying to run a game.

I would like to see a port of Reminiscence for the Wii U. It seems to be one of the first homebrew projects released on every exploited system... except this one. Sure, I can play it on my Vita, Wii, 3DS, NDS, Raspberry Pi, etc. But the Wii U is my favorite system, and my favorite for classic games.

Karaoke mixer type program where you can plug in USB mics to the console and play karaoke songs on youtube and sing along with your mic.

Is this even possible?

it would be great to have something like diagnoseDS on Wii U to test every functionality on the gamepad and, ideally, to calibrate (analog sticks, buttons, touch screen, camera, sensor bar, nfc reader, microphone, speakers, motion sensors, etc..)

2018, the year that freeShop on 3DS was dead and have it's rebirth on Wii U lol
Probably not. I have: school with dumb homework, arduino uno with nfc,lcd and ethernet module,SM64,youtube,Wii,Wii U and other stuff to do. And,I must learn how tmd works to implement it and make downloading via http (probably some code from homebrew app store) and GX2,what is hardest I think.

I'd like to play Super Mario War in 1080p on my Wii U! Such a great game, and there is a new higher res version.

A Quake port would be brilliant. The Wii U could run modern source ports with flying colours and I'd be happy to start porting over Quake-based games, such as Kurok and Nazi Zombies Reboot, to Wii U. That would jazz up the homebrew scene quite a lot - the Quake engine is the reason the PSP still gets new homebrew games that look and play like pretty authentic shooters; the PSP has a versatile Quake source port, so why not make one for Wii U and try to revitalise it with some homebrew games? :D

Sorry but I think the Wii U GamePad Mic couldn't work on Wii Mode. It being used as an screen and even as a controller is wonderful already.
That actually might be possible since theres wii games that released with usb mic support like karaoke revolution so you probably wouldn't have to use the wii u gamepad as a mic.

SDCaffiine GX2 with it's own GUI where you can choose own patch folder and automatically loading the game on the disc. + Maybe impossible, but support for games installed on HDD or USB.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
