Since the game's initial release in 2007, fans of The World Ends With You have been waiting for a sequel. This may not be quite as big, but TWEWY finally got some bonus story content in Final Remix, released on October 12th. Released on Nintendo Switch, TWEWY: Final Remix is a port of Solo Remix, the Android and iOS version. So then, with all of the backlash from game critics over clumsy controls, is Final Remix actually any good? After 30 hours of gameplay, I can finally answer that question for you. Read the review linked below to see what I thought of The World Ends With You: Final Remix!

Is this version better then the DS original?

Depends on your personal taste. I personally like it a lot more, but some people value the unique gameplay of the DS version more than the graphics and sound of the Switch version.

Visually it's a lot more impressive on Switch. But they had to basically throw out a big part of the unique combat experience. The original was really and truly built around the concept of the DS, and you can't really replicate it elsewhere. The DS will always be the best, gameplay wise.

It's still fun though, and it does look gorgeous.

Haven't played the game yet since I heard the battle control really sucks, hope they will release an update to fix the battle controls

There is no "fix". The fix is to play on DS with a stylus as intended. Handheld mode works fine enough. It's just docked that's wonky as shit because the motion controls lose sync really easily. But it'll never be as good as the DS with a stylus.

that's a little debatable, trying to focus on two screens at once is more of a pain in the ass then a feature for me :/

It doesn’t help that the Seitch port feels lazy.
Never heard of that console. Is that a Chinese knockoff?

That's what I wondered, the controls. Wondered if it was better or worse.
The game would've been perfect on the Wii U.
