Well, it's not useless on 3.0.0. It can install any nsp file which works on 3.0.0 or below. The 'ignore firmware version' option does what it says - it will ignore the required firmware version and brute force an install. This is because some games arbitrarily claim to require a certain version despite actually using older keys. It can't magically make games which genuinely require newer firmware versions work.
I understand that much bro, I understood it the first time it was said to me on page one lol
Here's why its "useless" on 3.0 in my opinion to give everyone clarity:
I own every single switch game(the ones I was interested in playing at least) from 3.0 and below, digitally on my main switch which is not hacked.
The reason I was excited for tinfoil was to turn my carts into digital copies and eliminate the need to carry them around. It does work for that purpose but on 3.0 it is "useless" to me and anyone else on 3.0 not looking to play older release title games ect.
People grab their forks and knives when they see the word "useless" or catch anyone having an opinion around here lmao
In short: I have already followed the users advice on page one and updated my switch without burning fuses thus giving me the "usefulness" that tinfoil had to offer me from the beginning.
Thanks everyone for the help and thanks to all the "useless" users who chimed in to take out their hate for their lives on other people, either way I appreciate the responses <3
Bye for now "useful" and "useless" users, I will go back to skimming the forums once again until I release my video game at the beginning of next year. I wish I could stay and fig- errr.. chat but I dont have time

I love all of you sweet sacks of potatoes, try not to keeeel eachother now
