Hi

I am running 5.0.1 and SX OS. The switch has been in airplane mode since just before I got the SX and has since then not connected to the internet. Should I update using OFW or by homebrew? I guess CFW to not burn the so called efuses? Is there a possibility the installation through custom firmware would somehow corrupt the switch if something went wrong?

Would the safest way in terms of stability/safety to the switch itself be to update through OFW?

To everyone who has updated through homebrew, did you use choidujour? Should I install 6.0 or 6.01?

I'm thinking of updating because some game(s) seem to require 6.0 (Starlink in particular, after updating) but I read somewhere if I install the NSP I could choose to bypass the firmware requirement with tinfoil

There’s no games at the moment that require 6.0, but some updates do

Tinfoil does have an option to bypass the firmware requirement if I remember correctly but it only works if the game/update uses the same or lower master key revision than the firmware your on (if you do this some games/updates may not work because they use things added in newer firmwares)
