NRO2NSP, i can make a nsp for checkpoint if you want. Maybe this tonight !

If you are willing to do that i would appreciate that too! But please dont rush, do it whenever you can. :D

Btw, you say it has a build in version and its a forwarder, does mean if the nro isnt in the /switch/Tinfoil/<insert nro here> it will boot up the build in version?

Thank you for sharing.
But it rises few questions.

how do you choose the TitleID?
they don't follow switch TitleID convention?
you said they are "both" but how can they be both full channel AND forwarder channel when you have only one nsp in the rar? it first forward if found, else if nro not found it runs the built-in version? which version?

I might point to another thread about posting nsp :
https://gbatemp.net/threads/choidujournx-nsp.520594/page-2#post-8331687

and this page, it would be nice if you could fill the titleID in case the homebrew author make it official. (if it's your own build/titleID choice, don't fill it, we might end with multiple ID for the same program).
https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/List_of_Switch_homebrew_titleID

there's no rule to create/share nsp, but it would be nice if it doesn't become a mess, different version, or build, titleID, updatable, system reserved titleID, etc. :P
maybe we should think about something, a convention? something like that. I didn't think about it yet. I want everyone to think and talk about it to prevent this :

Tinfoil - _01000A0000000001.nsp
XCI-NSP_01000A0000000011.nsp
they share the same TitleID ... Av1 and Av11 ? will one replace the other when installing ?

edit:
oh, dOpus homebrew has been renamed and re-released. you can now use the new version and project name.

So quick! thank you! :)
Because, i have my icon since in a long time :P and it's now released :)

Yea i just saw that path in the txt no text/ instructions or anything so i wanted to be sure :)
ok,

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

how do you choose the TitleID?
Sorry, i make my own title ID and not from the author of the homebrew, sorry and no convention with other title ID...

you said they are "both" but how can they be both full channel AND forwarder channel when you have only one nsp in the rar?
I make the same title ID for both version so you must choose your prefered version (forwarder or build in)

Sorry, i doen't see this page :(

and this page, it would be nice if you could fill the titleID in case the homebrew author make it official. (if it's your own build/titleID choice, don't fill it, we might end with multiple ID for the same program).
Ok, thanks for the advice :)

sorry, might be because of deleted posts I can see, I have 2 pages, you might have only 1 page.

I mentionned some idea about nsp, I don't know if they are all good or bad, they seemed logical to me. I'd like to know more about other's opinion.

I looked in tinfoil first, so I didn't see your other rar files had 2 different nro. that's good.
which one is the forwarder, D or without D? looking at the size, it's obvious :P

I edited my message above, I'm not sure tinfoil and dopus are conflicting.
could you install both at the same time? isn't the switch considering them as updates of the same titleID?

It's good but many nro homebrew haven't title ID from the author so, hard to ask the author if we can create the nsp of her homebrew.... it's my opinion.... wait for others...

I thought the console used the latest digit as update version, but after re-reading the wiki I see it's the DLC count.
Update ends with 800, so that might be the only rule : don't end with 800 ?
we will have to test to see if it's a problem.

Maybe the last 3 digits are used for specific info (DLC, updates, etc.) so we might keep them unused?
01<TitleID>0xx <-- game (00) + dlc (01-FF)
01<TitleID>8xx <-- updates (00)

Ok but my title ID is 0x1xxx001 until 01 and i have no problem with that. It's not good ?

When booting checkpoint/tinfoil (both forwarding or standalone) i get the following error after the switch booting logo > 2347-0003

Running FW: 5.1.0
SX OS version: V2.1
Installed with the SX os nsp installer
Exfat 256 gb micro sd

Am i doing something wrong by any chance?

I'm not updating the console, but will try to install with tinfoil over SX os, and if failing with on Reinx. Will edit my post with result :)

Edit:

Installing on SX OS (v2.1) with tinfoil works for both, i guess its TX installer that didnt work for some reason.

Thank you again :D

I suppose it's good.
what I thought I understood, only by reading switchbrew wiki, and additional information provided by users, was:
000, 001, 002 etc.. up to 0FF are fine to use, they are considered as additional / different title content, like if a title can have 00 to FF possible installable slots (game and dlc)
example :
0100000ABCDE0000 <- game A
0100000ABCDE0001 <- DLC1 of game A
0100000ABCDE0002 <- DLC2 of game A
0100000ABCDE0800 <- update of game A

and I thought that based on that information you had issues with:
01000A0000000001.nsp
01000A0000000011.nsp
I though the console considered both nsp as the same titleID, installed in 2 slots (0x01 and 0x11). both considered as DLC and missing the main game (0x000) if we refer only to existing ID used by nintendo.

But you said you don't have any problem, and they are each seen as individual title.
So, I think nintendo is enforcing their titleID only to themselves (when choosing it) and the switch doesn't care what the titleID is ?

You have more experience than me, as I didn't test installing nsp yet. All I said so far is only based on what I found, not what I tested and should not be seen as trusted results. I hope someone has a proper explanation of the Switch TitleID system so I can learn it.
