OK, i was reading this post for some times now, and i recently using a 128 card exfat. I will backup everything and format to fat32 and copy everything in it again.

But for the cluster size i remember on the ds lite days larger cluster is bad for total space but its better for speed.
So if i formated max cluster size the only downside is that i will get less space in general, but i will not arg on there maybe its placebo.

Back for a short comment - then staying abstinent again for the remainder of the week.

First off, saying "I'm sorry" for not reading the thread then expecting someone else to do it for you, doesnt make it better. So eff this approach, and anyone who is still supporting it.

- @m4xw never allow the split controller value "on" to be stored. At leased not as the default (if you want to implement a persistent toggle - ok). We had the same conceptual problem with pfba and others, where people want to use split controllers in "single controller mode" - when they dock their switches. This should always be the default - otherwise, it causes heaps of confusion.

There are more people out there who dont own "pro" controllers, than people who will throw a hissy fit, because they have to enable an option every time they want to use split controller two player mode. Please consider this as well. (Default to split single is most important, whether you want to implement a toggle whose state can be saved is up to you.)

You now have one person complaining that they have to do something everytime they want to use split controller 2P mode, we've had dozens of people complain about not being able to "use" their switch in docked mode.

Yes default for split joycon should definitely be "off", but you should be able to save them to "on" for the reason I explained earlier.

@m4xw , any chance this change will be in the nightly build?

Well that's sort of true, but in this case just do what the devs (and those in the know) are telling you and use 32kb - think of it as the sweet spot maybe? - 32kb is plenty big if you look how small cluster sizes go..

Can someone please confirm that MegaCD games are working ? This is the only hardware I cannot get to work since the GL version. Bios are named correctly and are in the right place.

Last question, is Wipeout 2097 working for you guys with PSX rearmed ? Mine is crashing after the title menu.

I never personally got any iteration of Wipeout for PS1 working on any emulator personally myself. Could just be ePSXE.

can some one help me out to get psx on exfat formated sd working? i put the psx bios file into the folder "sd://retroarch/cores/system" and tried to load some psx1 games (iso's and bin formated files). Every game wont start up. instead i got an error "failed to load content".

If i try to play NES, SNES or GBA it works like a charm.

Well it depends on where you live :) Thanks for your answer, however it does not work for me, using genesis gx = crash the system with error/reboot needed, using picodrive = the content cannot be loaded. Both US or EUR roms are not working.

My system :
Switch 5.1
SXOS 2.0.1 (was the same on 1.9 and 2.0)
Latest Nightly (same with stable release)

Well let's say my Switch does not like the way I am playing road avenger :)

Wild how one can forget how ferocious their other consoles/systems are when a new 1 comes out.

Popped out my PSP to add some things to it and it reminded me of how much space can be saved turning PS1 games into PBP. Crash Bash went from 174,000mb to 78,000mb. Some others went from 600,000mb+ to 300,000mb+ or 400,000mb+, etc.

I'm on an ooooold version of RetroNX and PS1 is very good, for the most part. I like to Start the game then Restart it to hear that infamous PS1 bootscreen sound. Ridge Racer is glitchy, but Rage Racer is better and also by Namco.

See these videos if you're looking for ideas...

Speaking of PSP, some of these comments in this PPSSPP github thread makes it sound like PSP is a little closer to being on Horizon. I don't, usually, update as soon as something new drops, but that awesomeness of a gaming library and thousands of movies would get me to do it.

I saw the comments on that bountysource link, but for the sake of convenience: PPSSPP already has an ARM64 JIT like natinusala said on there."

Still waiting on SDL2 to be updated. Threading is another issue, but SDL2 is more important."

"dmiller423

figured I'd add some insight:

SDL2 has been updated and you can use GL context it creates."

What is the best way to deal with saves? Is there a means to dump the contents of SaveRAM upon jumping into the RetroArch menu? I'd prefer not having to deal with SaveRAM dumping on an interval. If that only dumped when SaveRAM changed, it would be one thing, but some games use SaveRAM as temporary RAM, so this would cause it to dump at each interval. I know I can enable Auto Save/Load State, but I'll have to Close Content for that to take effect each time, plus that also comes with a problem if I choose to Reset. I run RetroArch through the HBMenu via Album, using Atmosphere with background FTP. I'm too skeptical about running homebrew any other way (outside of Lakka), including NSPs, and all I care about is homebrew/emulators beside my legit purchased Switch games.

In fact all my sega cd games work fine so yeah

You running bin/cue just single bin files? Retroarch no support multiple bins

Stop using SX OS and format your SD to FAT32 (dont forget 32kb cluster size)

Fair. Whenever I craft my posts I strive to remodel their rhetoric to be bereft of much of their unnecessary humanity. Even when it is clear that others do not share this imperative, I should not let that shake my resolve. I did. My apologies.

This has got to be one of the craziest paragraphs of English I've read in a long, long time. Holy shit.

My RetroArch wont save ingame… sometimes it does sometimes (most of the times wont save) it will look like it saved but in reality didn't save at all. I lost my progress on Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. Save States work tho :v
