The online price is unreasonable, you still need legitimate game to play online and after all of that you still have a chance to get ban. SX fan say it could be safe while other said it is 100% unsafe and SX team doesn't guarentee anything at this point so is it really worth it to risk using them? We didn't have any safety net for when you are banned so unless you are okay with losing online, just wait and play offline game while hold on to your 20$. Don't listen to any claim or promise here since they hold no responsibility for their claim once your console got banned.

I agree with you. $3.99 per month or $19.99 per year is too damn high!!! And also the price of Dell Taco's $0.39 tacos are too damn high!!! Anhminh for President!!!

Per month, per year, it doesn't make a got damn different once they ban you. You will loss 20$ for nothing just because you believe in some random people promise.

>paying for piracy

SX in the nut shell.

The problem with Ninty's online service isn't the price, the price is great. The problem is what they OFFER you for that price.

Nobody knows if TX's EmuNAND will trigger a ban or not. Those that say it will are just regurgitating hearsay with absolutely no proof. So far, the "proof" has been the fact that HOS will report a change in NAND size, but EmuNAND won't get you flagged this way since it's not shrinking the NAND.

actully it doesn't change the nand size/partition
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-does-sx-os-emunand-work.518936/ over in the backup subforum someone looks at what they do. Just some really big bin files made whichis what emunand uses

See that idea that it changes the nand size came form the fact that, when you are running emunand, the information you see on the console itself(System, data information) is the info on the emunand, which IS smaller than the sysnand(by more or less half)

when you are running emunand,
Not defending tx or anything but they don't expect you to go online with emunand just with official which sees the right storage vales in logs and querys. Making it seem less likely to be baned as official won't have traces (who knows really it can see if it was booted into rcm before horizon so autorcm still a bad thingish) and all illegal stuff done through emunand

If that's so, then they shouldn't advertise it as a way to prevent bans. On their site they say that a combination of "emunand" and Stealth Mode can severely reduce ban risk but Stealth Mode makes "emunand" pointless

Stealth mode blocks Nintendo addresses so if your on emunand and go online for say ftp stuff. Your emunand will not communicate to Nintendo for anything so no communication equals no ban.
If sysnand can't see emunand (not confirmed at all btw) or know of it's existence and you do all hacking stuff in emunand then what can they ban you with?

Emunand solution is tutted out as for people with legit games play online (In sysnand) or people playing fortnight with sysnand

Hence why i said that stealth mode makes emunand pointless. Also "Emunand solution is tutted out as for people with legit games play online" If you have legit games and want to play them online, then what's even the point of having SX OS in the first place?

Can you guarantee that no one will get banned if they use SX Emunand? If nobody know SX's emunand is safe or not, it is better to just assume it isn't until solid proof come up. Trusting team TX won't unban your Switch once it got banned.

My 2 cents on SX OS emunand
I think there are two use cases for emunand:
#1 - keep sysnand on a low FW version (for future exploits), have emunand at latest (for playing newest games)
#2 - keep all things that make a NAND "dirty", like CFW/NSPs in an emunand, to keep sysnand clean for online play

I think SX OS' solution works fine for #1.
You won't be able to use it online, as sysnand is on an old FW, and emunand is dirty (having all the NSPs, as well as all SX OS CFW logs/traces, and also being 15 GB smaller). But you can have a low FW version, and play games on the latest FW version, without burning fuses and having autoRCM.

For #2... I think it's not really safe, but I don't think it's detectable YET, for now.

The EMUNAND0 magic at the end of BOOT1, as well as the nand00.bin and nand01.bin files stored in the USER partition, are easily detectable. It MIGHT be safe at this moment (as Nintendo should not have had any code to detect these back when 6.0.0 was released), and I THINK they can't add that detection without releasing a new FW version, but I still think it's really dirty how it leaves traces in the sysnand, like that signature in BOOT1 or those files.

Whereas if it were implemented like: having an emunand kip/sys-module, plus having the emunand files in the SD card, then it should leave no traces in the sysnand (unless directly intended by the user), like running Lakka or running a payload in RCM (like Hekate).
