everything was updated, it was a hidden commit almost, it was just a quick edit; it should work now

that's odd, ill push it to the staff and see what's wrong - maybe going from 6.0 -> 5.1 caused issues? not too sure
okay! the one you gave me works , but its not showing that sexy cfw string in the settings also i cant access homebrew launcher when i choose the album , is there a button combination or something i'm missing ?

Same here again.

After the hidden update in the GitHub release it now boots on my Switch (4.1.0, manually added exFAT), but in system settings it doesn't show the ReiNX version string, only 4.1.0 and I cant access HBMenu any more. Everytime I try to enter it the system crashes, shows an error message and I have to reboot the console.

dont know about the sexy cfw string in the settings,
but did you copy homebrew.nro on the root of sd card and created the titles folder in reinx folder and copied the 010000000000100D folder into titles folder? like in the guide descripted?

6. Go to the ReiNX folder and create a new folder named 'titles' within it.
7. Go inside the 'titles' folder you just created, and put the entire 010000000000100D folder into it

Strange xD

Last night Tinfoil crashed after installing a NSP file, and this somehow seems to have corrupted the hbmenu.nro.
Everything on the SD card was in the right place, but after I downloaded hbmenu.nro from the guide again and replaced it on the SD card it now works just fine again.

if you used reinx toolkit than it could be the reason for corrupted files.
there is a warning in this thread:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/reinx-toolkit.517457/

**Warning: Homebrew seems to have a tendency to corrupt files on the SD if not closed properly.**
I tried my best to combat this but basically be careful and backup anything important as always.

which system version string do you mean?
in settings - console - current systemversion
if so, on my switch there is only 4.1.0 no cfw name or anything special

it's supposed to show "reinx" right after the system version , or so i've heard.

Apparently the sexy CFW string needed to be removed as that is what was causing it to not boot. Not exfat.

thanks for clarification.
i didn't realized that there was a reinx string at all.
but no wonder, because the string being the reason for my black screen problem.
so i didn't even had the chance to see that sexy cfw string :creep:

Given that you're running firmware 5.1, it seems like your boot0/boot1 are still from firmware 6.0. Either use this guide or tool to return your boot0/boot1 to firmware 5.1
For now the best merhod for me is sx os and fw6.0.0.. only there everything exept homebrew(not using them anyway) works well.
All my backups was destroied by my cat that dropped the exterinal hdd

Mine is working fine including sleep and shows "5.1.0 ReiNX" under system settings...

Are you saying that even without having the exfat version installed with the new fix the CFW should start?

I tried it and I am still not getting into ReiNX

hello, i am using 4.1, and when opening the album the switch crashes.
i followed the guide, i also have a dongle just to launch ReiNX automatically.

EDIT: solved.

i just needed the hombrew.nro to be in the root of SD card.

my cat hit my ps4 once and broke the bluetooth antenna inside of it, theyre v good at breaking things

also just wait it out for official 6.0 support honestly, shouldn't be too far away

nah you need exFAT support if you have an exFAT SD Card, this wouldn't change anything

“Why should I use ReiNX over other CFW alternatives”?

  • Good question! While we admit we are a little biased with this obviously, we consider ReiNX to be the the most end-user friendly CFW in terms of the features it provides. From it's Toolkit which allows you to update the CFW, change splash screens etc., to our 'hands-off' approach to enabling you to do what you want to do to your Switch with no judgement on our end - we aim to create a CFW that works for the regular end-user. No one else. Also it comes with a weeaboo splash screen.
This quote is not from first post but the guide and there's one the too much. ;)
Yes I am fun at parties.
