Wow, this really sucks. Really torn as what to do.

Honestly dudeyou haveoptions well 4

1 go online without cfw stock console no ban enjoy your eshop purchases and play online with others

2 go online with cfw possible ban but most certainly you will at some point be banned, chance of losing eshop purchases for good, no online multiplayer loss eshop on that console.

3 Buy another switch screen only, and have 1 console for hacked and one for online eshop and online multi

or

4 Ignore all our advice do what you wish to do as its your decision at the end of the day...
Were here to help you but cant decide for you..

You may use your account on your other switch if it gets banned but you must ask nintendo to remove the banned console from your account so you can put it on the new console basically

What do you guys suggest? I am so confused and torn as what to do. Really don't have a lot of money right now, can't afford a 2nd Switch. What have you guys been doing? Do you all have 2 Switches?

Do this...

Backup your NAND
Do whatever hacks you require. NEVER GO ONLINE. Ever. Not even once. That said, If you need connectivity, use 90DNS. Or block Nintendo at the router.
Be completely off the radar. That is the only way of being safe.

Once you have finished playing hacky hack, restore NAND. Then you can safely go back online.

Backing up NAND is NOT OPTIONAL.

Once backed up, take another backup and post it somewhere else.
And email a copy of your keys as Canna said.

Can`t stress it enough. NO MODS OF ANY SORT UNTIL YOU HAVE AT LEAST 2 VERIFIED NAND BACKUPS!!!!!

For me, anyways...I've (while connected to the internet):
- used LayeredFS with Skyrim for about a good 300hrs so far (offline game so I see no wrong there)
- had LayeredFS crashes in games many times
- used DevMenu and fiddled with options to explore it
- had homebrew crashes
- loaded different CFWs
etc.(?)

Still not banned, I've never even enabled Airplane Mode. Just don't do the super 'bad' things that can guarantee a ban.

You've most likely been flagged though

I keep my Switch offline all the time. If I want to play a game online, I would purchase a physical copy, and do a clean emmc restore on my Switch. Then when I want to re-install my nsps, I'll make another emmc backup for the next time I want to go online.

I haven't done it before though, and it's time consuming and easy to make a mistake. But until something like emunand comes out, this is one thing you can do. Also, you can use memloader to transfer small files via usb.

Start reading around the forums to fully understand what hacking is all about. Hacking the Switch is so easy but you need to fully understand what programs are used as it seems you have no experience in hacking systems.

I do have a little experience with hacking systems. My Wii U has Haxchi (non cold-boot) and my N3DS has Luma and B9S. I just don't have as much experience as you guys. My 2 main concerns about Switch hacking are that I want to play new/upcoming games, and also still be able to update my current games and such. I just don't know what to do.

You can do all those things with a hacked Switch just probably not online for long. Just like there is no such thing as sort of pregnant there is no such thing as sort of hacked. Either jump in and embrace it or stay legit.

If you are not absolutely sure you want to hack then don’t do it. You can always change your mind later.

Agreed. Once you hack, you gotta be mentally prepared for a potential ban. But you can also do things to lessen the chance of getting banned (e.g. stay offline with a clean emmc backup).

Everything can still be done manually on a banned Switch (firmware updates, software updates, dlc, etc) except for online play. For me online play isn't important, so the choice wasn't hard.

I am preparing for the hackment, if Nintendo's online service proves to be ass, for a non-online player.
Like others, I care not for online gaming, I like to gameturbate all by myself. But, as Nintendo has been teasing about other niceties, like free Nes gaming and other yet-not-reveled probaly crap.

If at that point I have nothing good worth spending 20$ on, I'll hack it.

Hi guys. I am very new to the Switch Hacking scene. I ordered a Jig from Amazon, as well as an USB to C cable. My concern is whether or not I should proceed with hacking. As far as that goes, I would only be doing Save Editing, but only for offline save use. I hardly ever play games online on my Switch. Debating on whether or not to hack comes down to the following:

- What is my ban risk if I only do the Save Editing?
- Don't really want to miss out on new and upcoming games (Mega Man 11, Smash, etc.). This and above are 2 main concerns.
- Worth hacking? I only have 1 Switch, no access to TX SX OS or whatever that is...

Thoughts on all of this GREATLY appreciated :)
You will get banned eventually. Even if you only use CFW offline and you boot into normal NAND when you go online. The only way to prevent this 100% is by having an emuNAND for offline/CFW use which will hopefully become possible soon.

The general rule of thumb is that if you have to ask "To hack or not?"...its probably a good idea not to hack.

No, I do not chaturbate. And if I did, I wouldn't reveal such things. It is not something Nintendo would approve doing with one's joyCons. That's instaban right there.

I also believe that the program will be underwhelming (it's 20$ yearly after all, so I don't expect free games except that library of NES ones).

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
