Because a number of features were broken, any XP related feature appeared as blank, icons were misplaced in several diffrent places, and there was a lot of other things
But then it still could be there, for optional use, as it already was.
or hide it in settings or something.

I know some stuff didn’t work. But no one complained about it (to my knowledge at least). It could have been left as-is with the tag (unsupported). Those who want the new stuff will have to move on. But I see no reason whatsoever to remove it and for e everyone to use this theme

Not sure I see any (looked at the first two pages and none of the thread titles grabbed my attention) so it probably was very minimal to be a problem.

That said, an “unsupported” tag should solve this..

The description of the themes had "obsolete"

There honestly isn't much of a reason to keep them, the new themes still have all the features in the same place, and the style isnt that bad

Sure, obsolete works.
Regardless of your reasoning about the new theme, and whether you are right or wrong. The thing is, there was no reason to do so. Clearly some people still prefer and use it. Why remove it? It’s tagged obsolete for a reason, but people were fine with that. It doesn’t hurt anyone.

Adapt to change kids, you'll be dealing with it all of your life.

Things move forward and it's pointless to cling to past things just because they're familiar. The theme is outdated, obsolete. It serves no purpose other than nostalgia and familiarity.

Time to move on.

I don't care about the new feature addition. I'm upset about the removal and change of features that had no reason to be changed. As I had said before: The removal of the number of notifications in the tab icon as well as the burying of post tools behind a menu is unnecessary. This isn't clinging to pointless things, this is complaining about a decrease in UX. These sacrifices were very clearly made to cater towards a mobile audience, but with a dedicated mobile mobile meta tag in html5 there is no excuse other than sheer laziness to not separate the two.

Your dismissal of criticism under the guise of "change" is counterproductive and exposes the flaws in the argument. If "change" is the only reason to change something, it shouldn't be changed.

Blindly obey that everything new is better and thinking that everything that works but isn't the latest version is outdated and blindly believing in everything new is what kids do. Complaining if things get worse isn't a typical kids thing. Kid.

It hurts the server by keeping them, the CSS files associated with it are very large

I have no idea what you're talking about with notifications tab icon being removed, it still exists, and it seriously doesnt hurt to bury thread tools in a drop down menu

I liked TempStyle and was blindsided by the change as well, but things change over time. If it wasn't viable to support something that was already going into obsolescence, then so be it. Time to move on and move forward. Take this time to acclimate yourself with the new instead of clinging onto the old.

It still shows the number of notifications you have
No, it does not.

There is no number, just a box.

Maybe you are right. Who knows. But at the very least an explanation would have been nice instead of a silent removal.

Anyway, I am done talking about this. It’s not like it’s gonna change anything. I just added my voice to those who like and used the old style. The rest is up to the staff

Thanks for the discussion :)

If any things hold true with ninety percent of console hackers, it's these:
- they're greedy pirate scum
- they're super weebs
- they like their site themes as dark as humanly possible

I liked the top navigation in tempstyle 1 (on mobile). With tempstyle 2 you need to make more clicks to achieve the same goal.

Also I liked that tempstyle 1 put the focus more to the content instead of the user. With tempstyle 2 content is interrupted by the horizontal user bar, flashy titles, XP etc.
