New 3DS XL 11.7 with Luma3DS (unsure of version) and b9s (unsure of version).

I was just watching YouTube on the web browser last night, when I went to bed I simply closed the 3DS,
and when I picked it up in the morning, it turned itself off once I opened it. Then, this keeps happening whenever I try to turn on my 3DS.

(minus the loud sound)
(not my video, btw)

I'v tried:
  • Turning on with and without SD card.
  • Replaced the boot.firm with Luma3DS v7.1 and v8.1, neither works.
  • Removed the battery and reinserted, multiple times.

Opening/closing the hinge causing the 3DS to turn off is a telltale sign of a damaged ribbon cable. I don't know if you can replace just the cable, might have to replace the whole screen.

Still, OP's video would be better.

If any ribbon cable is broken, there would be a pop sound (unless very specific part of a speaker ribbon is broken), which OP says that there is none.

The pop sound doesn't happen every time though. I'm almost positive that that's his issue, all the clues point towards it.

If any ribbon cable on the top half is broken (depends on how broken they are, but if it turns off),then yes, it happens every time. Also happens if NFC antenna is broken. (at least it always popped when testing with N3DSXL and N3DS).

I had a n3ds winch was doing the exact same thing, light turns on for 2 seconds then off.. what happened in my case, was the ribbon beside the battery (from the power connector to the board) , one tiny connector on the ribbon was 'scratched' , preventing it to power on.

In your case it does looks like its the top screen's ribbon. If the screen got squished a bit while sleeping, its possible that the ribbon as just disconnected. (best case scenario )

after tons of failed attempts to turn on my 3DS, it finally turned on ONCE, and the bottom screen was fully functional in every way, and all the console's controlls were working, but the top screen had a large, solid colored line, and the rest of the top screen was black. after rebooting again, i was back to the same problem as when i started, the console would turn its light on, then off.

Ribbon cable is broken. Probably speaker ribbon cable.

Sounds like the 3DS detects that the upper screen is not working right and shuts off for safety like the DS does. I'd have the ribbon replaced (assuming it can be on its own).

yup, top screen ribbon.
or
humidity entered the console while you where sleeping (like, if you fell asleep on it and fart and sweat etc..) it might be possible that the humidity makes a wrong contact..i suggest to leave it with the battery out, in a bowl of dried rice for a couple of hours, just in case there is humidity in it.

but..it does looks like its the top ribbon, and to be honest, it might not be broken but just unclipped from the conenctor, since it seems to work sometime and sometime it doesnt, so maybe the ribbon is kinda hanging on the connector..dont open and close to much tim in case it brakes it more, disassemble the console and take your time, make your way to the top ribbon (dont need to disassemble the top screen..just the bottom part with the main board.)

good luck, have fun.
