Since when did it require to solder anything at all.....?
All you need is a jig (not even needed if you have autorcm) and a usb type c cable

This could be in the dongle category... I know there are ways laptop phone tablet etc... but with trinket and or ardruno stuff was soldered together.

I've made a few for fun. These are all trinket based. I'd really recommend doing the trinket and coin cell thing to anyone who's looking to build a simple dongle.

nothing wrong with that :yay: , I built a Sinclair ZX 81 from a kit back it the 80's :D
but these days i'm too lazy to do anything  and I could never make anything as sleek as the Sx pro dongle :switch:
I did as well!!! CB radios were my thing back in the day tho.

Building and hacking is 1000% more fun than the games. Leave the games to the kids

Deep respect  First computer I ever owned was a ZX81. Too young to build it myself, but not too young to write my first programs. Still remember how each key was linked to a BASIC instruction to save memory - hitting ‘P’ took only one byte, while the actual string ‘PRINT’ would require five!

:rofl2: i think it had 300 bytes of storage unless you had the wobbly 16k memory expansion.

this just blew my mind, how he managed to cram this in a few hundred bytes of memory
