Switch storage backup with only OS and factory apps is like 1-2GB.The 28GB or so left are for games and saves.
Yes, and system updates are even smaller, but the trouble is in how the system uses the available space. Smarter people than I will definitely get it implemented but I'm fairly certain it's still a ways off.

When playing normal switch games my console freeze when the game is saving.
I am using Reinx on 5.0.1.
Is this happened because i played with : retronx with exfat formated microsd? (i know it causes problems but that bad?)
    How can i fix it?

try deleting fs_mitm from the sysmodules folder, many users have been having issues with that

alternatively download the newest update files from the github or the discord, they have it disabled (and added features since last night)

Safe to say they're close to make .xci function?
I wouldn't bet on it, I'm pretty sure the focus on getting NSPs converted from XCIs working is in light of the realization native XCI loading won't be happening anytime soon.
But who really cares, XCI loading will never be as reliable and bug-free as NSPs anyway.

Emunand won't be feasible for a majority of users unless we can limit the size of the emulated user space. The 3DS had like a 2gb NAND that we could emulate easily. The Switch by default has a 32gb NAND comprised of the internal storage. The largest sd card I have is a 32gb card which due to manufacturer specs is probably still too small for a proper switch emunand plus the usual files needed. Truth be told, the switch os is like 400mb (I'd imagine the 3ds was maybe 60mb) so if we can get it to dynamically allocate space as needed, instead of set limits then sure, not only would it be feasible but I would be all for it. Thing is I have no idea what kind of limits we have on what type of filesystem attributes we can implement or whatever other roadblocks there may be. I am willing to bet atmosphere will have a clever solution to this issue and that we'll see it in action, but to keep saying that Rei or Raj or whoever should prioritize it is a bit silly. They could also build a lego death star and I think that would be equally as cool and irrelevant to the current switch situation but the death star would probably take a lot less time to build. All I'm really saying is let's get other things stable, fully featured, and completely idiot-proof before asking for the big stuff. (Personally, I'm still looking forward to xci loading, but I can wait as long as it takes... Maybe.)
Won't that space still be free though? I get that for you and the 32gb card it's still not good for that since but anything better should make minimum impact

Why not? SX seems to have no problem loading XCIs and their customers are happy. XCIs are much easier to use too. Just drag and drop.

The price you pay for that however is slower loading times and compatibility issues on certain games.

NSP's run natively, exactly the same as it would have if downloaded from the eShop, while XCI is via emulation. I'm not saying an XCI loader is useless, but XCI to NSP would be higher up on my request list.

Exactly now with Reinx and amazing emulators on homebrew and getting better and better . no need to pay to those methods

don't forget that XCI is just drag and drop plus its more convenient that you don't need the double space size on your SD for the NSP and the installed title !
