So I've probably already posted this here however I resolved it myself first time by re-installing the HBC with a better sd card, however now I have the same problem with (Possibly?) the same code dump. I've been using the same usb stick since 2014 to do wii homebrew related stuff and I can't seem to get it to run. I've tried different usb sticks and they result in the same code dump, as well I've also tried different formats following with the same error. before posting this thread I tried exfat with 32kb cluster size, fat32 with 32kb cluster size, and ntfs with 32kb cluster size. I'm attempting to reinstall the hbc now to see if that helps. Thanks for the help in advance :).

So after reinstalling the HBC, I've found that it reads sd cards perfectly fine like it did before however usb devices aren't read from instead of code dumping, it simply attempts to load but then loads the sd card apps, USBLoader GX can detect the stick and does read the games and storage information on it....

(I would recommend following the sysCheck guide but that works too.)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@#3dBRAT OOF, I SEE THE PROBLEM. The .csv says that IOS58 doesn't have USB 2.0.
IOS58 is for USB 2.0. Did you modify IOS 58 in any way?

You are (in 4.3)? I'll try to send the WAD for IOS 58 in DMs.
After installing your was using waninkoko's wad manager V1.7 on iOS 80 I've found my homebrew channel to have the dpad reversed, the screen flipped upside down, the censor bar follows the same pattern as screen as well. Usbs still don't work. I will try now to use dop-mii to reinstall iOS 58

don't randomly install wad provided by users, even if it sounded a good idea.
there's a reason there are installers instead of wad files.

If you install a wad of IOS58 extracted from another console or packed with NUSD, there's a high chance its signature is trucha patched, and that's why you got upside down HBC. to get a good wad, it has to be extracted from an update partition, or using bluedumpmod with no patches.
it's not the wad manager's fault, unless it auto-patches the signature (which, ok, it's possible waninkoko's v1.7 is doing that).
I'd recommend this manager instead : https://github.com/FIX94/Some-YAWMM-Mod/releases . It's the latest, most recent released manager. it works without any cIOS, and works on both wii and vWii, and doesn't auto patch anything.

and there's no "wad manager on IOS80", it looks strange. the manager works either on a cIOS (236, 249) or with AHB access (usually IOS58).

IOS80 is the slot used by your system menu. It has nothing to do with the wad manager.
If your IOS58 didn't tell you "usb2.0" it's because you used an old version of syscheck. there's no reason IOS58 doesn't have USB2.0 support and you didn't have to replace it. IOS don't magically become corrupted, they don't need to be reinstalled.

Your 24.32 was good and the latest version.
You could reinstall IOS58 using this homebrew, though it's not the latest release.
but I see you used dop-mii which probably installed v24.32 back.

I don't know why HBC can't find your USB drive.
Maybe it's formatted in GPT instead of MBR? I don't know if HBC is compatible with both formats. USBLoaderGX works with both, that's probably why it works, but not with hbc?

I've tried practically all formats and partitions, it's very bizarre, I've also found it doesn't crash when an sd card is inserted but it code dumps when no sd card is inserted and I select usb.will try that iOS 58 installer and post results. Btw the "was manager on iOS 80" I was referring to was using the was manager with iOS 80 selected to install ios 58 that was provided. Before however I figured that installing strangers ioses
online was bad lol
EDIT:What cluster size would you recommend a 32gb flash drive @Cyan? I've heard that 32 kb was the best but I wanna try other sizes because it's the only variable I haven't changed on my flash drive

again, there's no reason IOS80 was selected in that manager, except if it displayed which IOS was used by your system menu (not by the wad manager). it should attempt to reload to 236 or 249 (because it's an old homebrew).
please, use the one I provided instead, it's the most recent wad manager.

Using that IOS58_installer is useless now, you'll get an old version of IOS58, while dopMii installed 24.32 back properly. keep your file, don't reinstall it. it's not an IOS58 bug !

Usually, for best compatibility, all devices should be : MBR, Primary, FAT32, 32k/cluster.
64k/cluster works too. You'll lose more space with bigger cluster, but you'll gain access speed.

did you try another device (not flash) ? is it only flash drive which makes HBC crashes ?
flash drives are highly not recommended, you know. I know it used to work, but a lot of users have issues with flash.

edit: you said you tried different format, but you only talk about partition format, right? did you try using MBR instead of GPT?

No it's every flash drive/hard drive I own. I only care to use flash drives for the convience of storage on an sd card. I'm wondering if I reenable banner bomb via priiloader then use bannerbomb exploit to reinstall hbc if it will work? I feel like it's more the Wii then my drives at this point :/. I might even want to redownload hackmii installer

no need to reinstall homebrew channel over itself. it's not an installation issue.
if it's a bug in the channel, another version would be interesting to test, but reinstalling 1.1.2 will have no differences. it could be a bug in 1.1.2

fancy : did you extract it from your console, or from a disc's update partition?
which tool did you use ?

if you used BlueDumpMod, did you properly choose to not patch the ticket, tmd or signature?
if you replied no to all 3 questions in the program, then your wad is good.
the problem is really that the manager he used is auto-patching wad's signature even if not needed (which is very bad).

if you want to provide a manager, next time you should suggest fix94's version. It's not relying on cIOS at all, it's using AHB_access instead and works better and on all consoles.

ok, then that's the problem.
ShowMiiNAND repacked the WAD using a bad ticket/tmd/signature.

PC application can't repack proper wad files (showmiiwad, NUSD, etc.). only Homebrew launched directly from the console are doing it properly.
