what do I gain from b9s? and no, I couldn't care less about that extra second boot time or "cleaner code".

Posts in thread "I wish I could update my CFW but I'm on a9lh"

Also posts "Why would I not stay on a9lh"

I see you're just being stubborn to be stubborn.

I really would like to see some a9lh CFW that allows 11.8 install and is still supported. for now I will stay on 11.6 and luma3DS 6.x.
There will never be until you manually backport it. Developers don't want to use a9lh anymore, it's a worse environment than boot9strap.

Ok, it's been a while since I've done this. But just to be sure, I should update Luma, and then update to 11.8, right? Or does it not matter? Also, is there a new version of Luma Updater which I should install?

ok for Luma 9.1 I need only copy boot.firm as always or I need to do something for that "exception_dump_parser" folder?

Hello, N3DS 11.7 FW here!!

I have old bs9 1.2 and old everything else ( fbi, godmode9, homebrew? etc), I have never update them from luma 8.0 times (when I did the guide). However I did updated luma (manually) to 8.1 long ago, my question is:

1. Can I still just replace my old luma 8.1 to this new luma 9.1 even though nothing else is updated? problems?

Thanks in Advance!

hi and thanks for great forum . I have a new 3ds XL and some of my ex friends hacked my 3ds . now I don't have access to him and I stickers in hell & I don't even know what method used to hack my system so finally I can update my console .

clue: when I boot my console it will load straight into cfw and no need to do anything about it .
also I had a luma icon before I accidentally deleted it .

how can I find out what method used and how can I update .

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.

Hope you've had a good morning.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
