Adafruit.

https://www.adafruit.com/product/3500 <-- Trinket M0
https://www.adafruit.com/product/2796 <-- Feather M0

Feather has built in lipo charge circuit and pals. Trinket is no-nonsense bare micro with through hole solder points and a micro USB connector for programming/project use.
i live in the uk so a Adafruit Feather M0 Adalogger is easier for me to get as i can currently buy them off amazon uk so i would love to see a step by step guide to set that up for this project, ideally a youtube video would be great so i hope to see that at some point :D

also i can't remember if i posted it here but for anyone who's interested, the SX Pro super capacitors are KAMCAP 2.7V 0.35F Farad Super Capacitor Ultra Capacitor so if you were wondering about that for your project that's what they are.

I have finally gotten around to updating the first post of this thread to better reflect the current status of this area of work. I will update it again with direct links to projects and posts later.
Just confirming, where the fusee ledee section talks about hardware inconsistencies leading to bricked devices, it means bricked router dongles, not bricked Switches, right?

Correct. The dongle is (as far as I know) not capable of harming the NX console itself. Bricked dongles, not consoles.

case is 3D Printed
I wanted to encase the both USB adapters too but kinda rushed the case from my excitement.

Didn't have the time to create a reset button too, so power cycle is required to get the light steady.
I was thinking of using supercapacitors but I need to research about those first lol

really nice xD but you should consider using something like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-24pi...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
that way you get rid of 2 adapters

yes, that was my original plan + edited 3d printed case, however ordering it will set me back 2 weeks due to shipping time.
those 2 adapters were easy to find in a gadget mall here in Manila (Philippines)

early photos showing standard usb to otg cable - this was me trying to show my 3d printer guy how I wanted it to be cased.
using lilypad cr2032 case (the photo from before i ditched that and used cr1220 instead - guarantees that the batt will fit.

hopefully when I make the v2, with the supercap :P depends on the demand here locally.

It should. The switch supplied sufficient power to turn on a zsun on an adapter when in normal mode.

From the switch or the dock?

Can you measure the voltage?

Does someone know where i can find a specification for usb-c. I think i need to connect a resistor between ground and a special pin.

Directly from the bottom of the switch. If it follows normal USB spec, it is 5v, with a max current of 500ma. (up to 1a if the device properly responds to a USB interrogation request packet, and requests high power draw.)

some research:
https://www.synopsys.com/designware-ip/technical-bulletin/implementing-usb-type-c.html

i have measured the resistors on two different connectors. They have ~152kOhm.

If i understood it correctly, to get recognized as an device, i need to connect CC1/2 to GND with an 5.1kOhm resistor.
that's only for an otg cable if i'm remembering correctly but if you order something like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-24pi...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

it's already done for you and ready to go.

At such a connector i measured the 156kOhm.
And with this connector, i can't charge with the switch. (in the end it's not that important for me, since i can charge with my computer. And with a full charged battery i can use the dongle 10000 times)
But i think for the guy with the capacitors it's important to charge with the switch.

Thats awesome! What is/are the converters being used in the Pokemon Go trinket?

Any links?
i believe all they have done is took out the board from the pokemon go dongle and put a adafruit trinket m0 in there and just used the button on the pokemon go dongle, there basically just using it as nothing more than a case
