Yes there is always a risk

I don't know if I got this right:
  1. even if I have Team Executer OS, shouldn't I be able to boot to legit OS without the dongle, insert my cartridge and play Splatoon 2 online? I mean, I could use TX to play offline games backups and on the other hand boot my console on official OS to play legit games online (e.g. Warframe, Paladins, Fortnite, etc.)
  2. If I never ever connect my console to the internet from the first start up and I use TX os to load games backups, until EmuNAND and Atmosphere CFW come out, is there a risk?
  3. What can I do in order to mod my Switch if I find it has FW>3.0.0?
Thank you for the answers.

1. The issue is if you have used TX OS offline and played backups either with real certs or not, the risk is that you can be banned by going online.
We know it is not an immediate ban so Nintendo could ban you later.

2. If I were you if you haven't already is use Hekate v3.2 to backup your Nand before you do anything else to include not loading the TX OS Dongle.
You have to have a computer to do this and USB C cable.

3. If you have over FW 3.0.0 you can still use TX OS offline airplane mode with no network settings. You can do everything like devmenu and layeredFS and play emulators/roms. I didn't play with devemenu and layeredFS to play eshop games and emulators/roms. I only played .xci backups.

See my post I was able to play backups with firmware 5.1.0 and I just restored the clean Nand prior to use of TX OS and went back online.
I am going to sell it so that is why I restored it.

FYI, if you do restore your Nand I do not take responsibility in case it bricks your system. I did mine today no problems.
Ensure you use a SDCard that is legit and bought from retail store or reputable seller online.

Currently i use CDNSP-GUI-Bob, but my internet connection is dodgy, and when i disconnect i gotta start the download all over again.

Is there a tool that works on the switch itself (homebrew program) to download the nsp? or is there a program thats dont lose all its progress when the network messes up again?

Do you guys disable internet while on CFW? I use it only to play emulators, but I'm not really sure if this can be an issue.
Also, taking screenshots of homebrew can make bans easier?

I mean, I still didn't see reports of people getting banned just (and only) for using homebrews, but I'm still afraid.

Hi all,

Can someone explain in a few words why it is the TX SX Pro Dongle have two capacitors? And what happens when they run out of power?
It substitutes itself as a device to send payloads with. That type of device can't send payloads without power being supplied so it is designed to retain a charge. If it runs out of charge, it can regain it back by being plugged into the Switch.

eXhop downloads .NSP straight to your Switch and the bonus is that if you legitimately purchased/downloaded them before, they will work.

The Switch can connect to the Internet if there are any Wi-Fi settings entered into the console, according to CTCaer. It would be recommended to disable Wi-Fi connection with hacks if you are trying not to get banned.

As for your other question, that might lead to a serious privacy violation. A company going through a customer's photos looking for evidence of hacking? Unless they have strong reason to, I don't see why they would take that chance.

Hello guys, to be completely safe, do I have to get my BIS Keys or only my rawdump NAND will hold on?
You can restore your NAND without the BIS keys, but there's nothing wrong with holding onto them in a text document. Always carry an umbrella on a sunny day.

When you have a backup game activated as a cartridge game under TX OS, is there anyway to "eject" that game so I can play an actual cartridge game that I bought? What would happen if I insert the real cart in when the console thinks that there is already a cart in there?

According to this thread, there should be no issues.

Gonna ask for the SX Pro for my birthday.

What's the best store overall to order it from?
modchipsdirect seems to be the best for US customers. Although some people have apparently reported not getting the items in their original box and instead were placed in a bag.

Sorry Draxzelex, Monday was a long day at the offi..err salt mine. A SME is a Subject Matter Expert. A tittle that’s taken serious in my job. Got my new switch in tonight. Almost had a heart attack, it came in a box that as was just a little slimmer than my first. So I figured I got one of the hack proof new models. But based on the serial number comparing it to the forum article I got one of the older styles it’s running 4.10 think I will wait Saturday to use Hekatae and back my nand. Thanks again.

No, you were good. Google helped figure out what that meant (which is literally what I do for 90% of these posts spoiler alert, give or take 50%). But its good to see that you managed to find an unpatched Switch unit. I think I can count the number of reported patched units on one hand.

Do any of the emulators on Lakka support Rumble? And how well do games like Symphony of the Night (Japan and America) play on Lakka?

Also, is there a splitter that allows you to charge your switch on one end via and add a bluetooth dongle on the other? Like for speakers?

Hey guys just ordered a new 400gb SD card to upgrade from my 200gb sd card with SX OS.

I know I can just copy over the files, but will the DLC installed on the SD card transfer over as well?

Would I be better off 'cloning' the existing SD card or anything, or does the DLC still work if I just copy and paste.

I heard you have to delete the 'nintendo' folder, which I believe is where the DLC is stored?

Cheers!

Is there any option available yet for homebrew without having to enter RCM first? I was looking at SX OS and seems like that still needs RCM. If not, is there anything in the works that will allow this? I've been able to run emulators with Hekate/Homebrew and Lakka, but I would love to have an option that doesn't require tethering to run a payload. What will make this possible?
