Game header and certificate are interchangeable terms (I know, we really need some type of standard with this stuff). Anyways, while we know Nintendo has a means to detect mismatching certificates/headers, there is some gray area for those who use it from games that have the same title ID. Of note, I know of one person who was banned despite using certificates/headers that did match, but again it was just one case.Does anyone know whats the difference between a game header and certificate? if i inject my certificate into the same game rom (downloaded off the internet) will nintendo treat it as my own legit game cartridge?
ok that makes sense. I thought the game header referred to data which encoded the game title unlike the certificate (which would prevent injecting zelda into splatoon2 for instance). You actually can inject it and still go online with it (slight oversight by Nintendo) but they make up for it by now including a system that will check whether the certificate and game match via their Title IDs. Its how everyone else has been going online. Why they are not banned yet is anyone's guess.ok that makes sense. people are playing with fire lol. I will be visiting my university library game room and dump all their relevant switch titles. unlimited free online gaming foreverrr!!You actually can inject it and still go online with it (slight oversight by Nintendo) but they make up for by now including a system that will check whether the certificate and game match via their Title IDs. My rule of thumb for e-mailing is giving that person at least a day. Plus, they have tons of e-mails to sort through from various people for various reasons so they may or may not need more time. To answer your other question, they don't specify that type of functionality in any of their changelogs so only they could answer that question. However, since people have been banned for using SX OS purely offline, that may not be the case.Has anyone managed to contact team xecuter with any success? I wanted to recommend some features for their potential nsp installer but they haven't replied. Also does anyone know if sx os clears your system logs at every boot?
What is the difference between a cert ban vs console ban?If you use certificate , use only for one game online
Certificate ban means that certificate you dumped from a cartridge can no longer be used to play any games online, including any games injected with as well as the game it came from. Console ban means the console is not allowed to use any online services except for game and system updates. What is the difference between a cert ban vs console ban?
Wow those bans are worlds apartCertificate ban means that certificate you dumped from a cartridge can no longer be used to play any games online, including any games injected with as well as the game it came from. Console ban means the console is not allowed to use any online services except for game and system updates.
The jury says no, I think, but people have been banned for using SX OS completely offline so it would look the same to Nintendo since they cannot differentiate between backups that are legal or illegal if they stay offline.but has anyone been banned for hacking there system and playing legit games?
Added VideoAccording to your post technically you not banned... at least what you said you did... video please
Sounds like your fan is dying.Has anyone experienced a weird clicking noise whenever the switch is put to sleep when in auto-rcm by TX. When I push the power button and put it to sleep the fan goes off and weird noises start to click at regular intervals.
