Dunno then. Normally does not need the BCT intact to work (tested). It just needs a usb powered source to re-enable it.
When the console ships, it comes in this way also. It's the same mode, sans autorcm.

so now my switch is dead basically? mind running a look through your payload incase of a mistype in compiling ?

This ^ is the official hekate CTCaer thread. The payload linked here is not compiled by me. It's not an official release.
I see. Are you gonna compile it by your own and then release it on the official thread, then?

please do that I think the guy who tried compiling it messed up and I was a Guinee pig to test lol second switch this month.

in the mean time can someone run test on current payload linked to see if same result or not?
I only know 2 person that had problem. You and another one. The other just left it on their switch wall adapter and it eventually turned on.

I don't believe there's a cause for concern though.

From the datasheet:
8.3.1.2.2 Shipping Mode
When end equipment is assembled, the system is connected to battery through BATFET. There will be a small leakage current to discharge the battery even when the system is powered off. In order to extend the battery life during shipping and storage, the device can turn off BATFET so that the system voltage is zero to minimize the leakage.
In order to keep BATFET off during shipping mode, the host has to disable the watchdog timer (REG05[5:4] = 00) and disable BATFET (REG07[5] = 1) at the same time.
Once the BATFET is disabled, the BATFET can be turned on by plugging in adapter.

Just leave it there charging on the wall adapter. It would be easier if you didn't have autorcm though.

yeah I only have auto rmc on as I damaged my last switch using a cable and awaiting a 3d printed jig in the post so I have really bad luck but nothing like this until now.

Or press - and + vol buttons at same time

This is why i soldered my joycon contact pads together. No autorcm for me

I tweeted you about the problem on Monday. What I basically did was plugging off USB before hekate told me to. It ended up not bootable. I charged it for 2h and still nothing. Then I decided to open up my switch, disconnect the battery by hand, reconnect it after 1 minute and then it booted again. So it looks like plug off USB too early makes this a bit buggy, but still fixable

This!
I'll consider autorcm if it doesn't corrupt the boot data or rather an alternative that will make the Switch boot in rcm to await a paylaod (looking at a modified version of the devmenu)

I don't have a tri wing screw driver atm though

is there a way I can clear auto rmc without having switch powered on or opening?

We really need a warning about not having autoRCM on when using this. As I have heard, it does not play well with this software battery fix... You're switch might be gone dude :( I will look and see if I can find any info on this issue.

See thats what I was thinking would be needed, but I wanted to make sure first.
